Not too happy
I ordered this item after seeing the infomercial on TV.I was already pretty upset that Amazon doesn't list what is included in the package, all I had to go on was the picture provided. The package only comes with ankle weights, red and green exercise bands (not yellow), and the 2 discs seen pictured. There are no instructions or work out plans or anything. I thought there would be a calendar or something like the infomercial shows to tell you when to do each work out but there isn't. I guess you are just left to randomly do the workouts.

Great!
I have been using for a little over a week and loving it! The workouts are fun and if you push yourself, you get a great workout. You get a full body workout as well. I ordered the maximum results video as well that comes with more bands and ankle weights

Brazil Butt Lift Maximum
This is an awesome exercise dvd. Exercising every other day I could see results within a couple of weeks. My husband felt muscle on me too! I would recommend this to anyone.

Three Extra Workouts to Maximize Your Butt Lift
Not a stand-alone system, Leandro Carvalho's "Brazil Butt Lift Maximum Results" offers three extra workouts to compliment the original 4-week " Brazil Butt Lift - Workout DVD (English and Spanish) " program for those who want additional variety to an already comprehensive mix of cardio, dance and strength training. The rather steep price tag makes "Maximum Results" a luxury that is by no means necessary as the original program is designed in a way to do the trick with four different variations.Whatever Carvalho does, he will probably do well. His energy is palpable: his smiles, laughs and commands exuberantly urge the participant on towards a successful completion of each session in a way that no matter how difficult the move or transition, the viewer seeks to please. Rather than come across as the Brazilian Drill Sergeant, Carvalho interjects fun into an otherwise rigorous set of routines that suggest dancing at Carnivale instead of manipulating the body in painful poses that will surely make a hot soak in the tub seem like nirvana.Of course, one's reaction to the workouts depends upon one's level of fitness. Someone who exercises every day might find the cardio portion of this video easy to complete while others may attempt the routine more than once to successfully workout through to the end of the allotted minutes without getting winded or nauseated. Regardless of one's fitness, Carvalho's workout can be intensified or modified to insure that the participant receives whatever they need to achieve their desired results.The two "Maximum Results" DVDs are delivered in a colorful foldover sleeve that is intended to fit inside the original Butt Lift packet, which makes for easy storage.The most extensive workout in this set is "Rio Extreme" which runs for about 50 minutes. A combination of cardio calisthenics (an example would be squats and jumps done in two tempos) and exercises involving weights (all areas of the upper body are targeted) alternate in segments of 4 to 5 minutes through to the end. Carvalho jogs and jumps rope to warm-up and strikes warrior-style yoga poses to cool down. Once the weight training targeting arms is complete, Carvalho moves to mats on the floor and performs about 15 minutes worth of chest and abs work which segues into downward facing dog and other yoga stretches to finish. The result is a moving, never boring, 50-minute circuit-training workout that Carvalho suggests doing three times a week.In "Abs Rapido," Carvalho incorporates 10-minutes worth of standing abdominal work including:* rotations using about a single eight-pound weight* obliques still using the weight while squeezing the knee to meet the elbow* side wheels using the knee and elbow* combinations and variations of the above moves for each side.Eventually he moves his team of twenty-something beauties (both male and female) into plank position and one-handed yoga strength and stretch poses which require balance and concentration. An extremely abbreviated cool-down of Child's Pose suggests this session is meant to be used with other formats. No other floor work is included."Upper Cuts" focuses on the upper body for a quick but intense 13 minutes. Warming-up with push-ups, Carvalho pushes the envelope, incorporating wide leg push-ups where he alternately pumps his arms while lifting weights. Standing bicep curls follow while balancing on one leg for further core strengthening. Triceps, butterflies, hammer curls, deltoid flies, shoulder presses, lateral raises and combinations of all at different tempos keep the workout moving at a Brazilian beat until the final stretches in the cool down. Overall, "Upper Cuts" covers all the bases and is sure to provide enough stress to the arms (choose appropriate weights as per Carvalho's expressed guidelines) to keep them in tip-top sleeveless top/dress shape.This package includes Velcro ankle weights as well as a green (medium) and red (heavy resistance) resistance bands meant to place around the ankles or thighs while performing the workouts on the original set of DVDs. The resistance bands or ankle weights are not used in any of the three "Maximum Results" workouts.As Carvalho's workout class consists of a lovely array of twenty-something male and female model wannabes, those of us who have more years under our belts might be put off on this very effective system of core training. I repeat my suggestion to Leandro in my review of his base system: include a wider range of participants of varying ages in order to encourage men and women of all ages to try something that challenges the body instead of sticking to routines that have become as familiar and as ineffectual as walking. Changing things up is what causes the body some confusion that will usually result in a new, more pleasing shaping. So listen up, Leandro and please recruit some older workout buddies to show off the age-defying qualities of your routines.Bottom line? While "Brazil Butt Lift Maximum Results" is by no means a necessary purchase, it does nicely enhance and provide variation to Leandro Carvalho's original Butt Lift Program. Unfortunately, for only 3 additional workouts (one 50 minute, and two approximately 10 minute sessions) it is severely overpriced and can be purchased directly from Beachbody at lower cost. Leader and developer Leandro Carvalho does his best to motivate his viewers utilizing a fun Brazilian Carnivale vibe that gets you through a cavalcade of maneuvers that otherwise might have you back on the couch after a few minutes of sweating. As the base system does indeed produce successful results, it renders "Maximum Results" a luxury.
