Dog Leash by Lupine in 1" Wide Blaze Orange 6-Foot Long with Padded Handle

I would say that this is one of the best dog leash I have ever use. Currently we have two dogs (dogs owner for life awoof!) - and this is second purchase of the same leash (my tibetan terrier sort of gnaw into the leash as he is growing up). This leash materials are firm but they are very very flexible. I have came across leashes that are super hard and doesn't twist/turn easily. When I first use Lupine leash, it took me some time to get accustomed to the reverse gate snap clip. After a while, I LOVE the clip as it is REALLY easy to use. Push it in - SNAP and you are done. The clip is super sturdy. I love the padded handle which like the leash materials get softer and more comfortable the longer I use it.I also like the color (I bought an bright orange leash for my tibetan terrier, and a pattered green leash with paws for my wheaten terrier). They really look good with the leash on them : ) The company that make these leash KNOWS their canine customers! Even though they have lifetime warranty on the least - you can send in frayed or broken leash for replacements (those leashes are really durable) - I have bought a few of the leashes just to support Lupine because they have good company policy and awesome product. I use these leash with my Kurgo harnesses (Kurgo while have amazing and durable products - their leashes are a bit too firm and inflexible in my opinion). I highly recommend Lupine leashes! Cheers!

First the leash: This is a very nice leash. It's well made and the handle is very comfortable, even with a fifty pound puppy trying to pull your arm off. The blaze orange is very visible, which is exactly what I wanted for my black lab.Now for Lupine's customer service: I can't say enough great things about the manufacturer! When they say the product is guaranteed for life even if chewed, they mean it. I had my seven month old lab on the leash for the second time and I took my eyes off of him for maybe two minutes. When I looked down, he had almost chewed through the leash. I'd had the leash less than a week and he shredded it. I went to Lupine's website to see what was involved in getting a replacement. They have a simple form online, all you do is answer a few questions and upload a photo of the chewed leash. You don't even have to return the old product. I filled out the form Saturday night and had a replacement in my mailbox on Thursday, no questions asked.Lupine earned my business right there. You don't often find a quality product from a company with that kind of service.

Mine lasted a little over two years of everyday use before the latch stopped consistently closing on its own. It still works very well and will latch back into place on its own most of the time, but I opted to replace it anyway so I’m not taking any chances. I will still keep my original as a back up. I prefer this type of latch because I can just slap it onto the ring of the collar without having to pull the tab down and line it up, which I find much easier. The padded handle makes it more comfortable than most leashes and the ring that attaches to handle to the leash is a nice place to hang a poop bag dispenser or any other item you want to tied around it. I have the 1” width 6 feet which works very well with my 65 lb dog. I have never felt it would break when he pulls. I am replacing my guy’s leash with another Lupine just like it.

This is a great product. It is simple, durable, and guaranteed, "even if chewed." I'll admit that I was skeptical of what a PITA it would be to return a damaged item for replacement, but Lupine now has a web form where you can upload a photo of the damaged item to receive a replacement, without ever having to visit the post office, or even return the damaged product. That's just awesome. In other words, this can be the last leash you ever have to buy, even if your puppy decides to chew it in half if you leave it in the back seat with them on a trip to the farmer's market...for example.

The 1" width is wider than I had pictured in my head and more than I needed for my (very well trained) 60 pound chocolate lab. Next time I'll know to go with 3/4" width.But that's not why I'm only giving it 4 stars. The only thing I don't like about it is the clip. I hate that it opens inward. I'm used to occasionally clipping my leash around itself, for example if I forget my dog's collar. It's really hard to do with this one because of the clip. I've seen that lots of leashes are going to this new clip style, but I really don't like it. I wouldn't buy another leash with one like this.Other than that, it's an inexpensive, high quality Lupine leash with a lifetime replacement guarantee, even if chewed. And that's the reason I went with this brand. My pup and I have recently started jogging together and while I just upgraded to a leash meant for that, this 6' leash worked great and kept her right by my side mile after mile. If they changed the clip, I'd buy several more of them.

Giving 4 stars for durability and sturdiness as I haven’t used it long enough to see how it will hold up. I have small hands, a wrist injury and a large friendly 1-year-old golden retriever. The handle is comfortable—no leash burns so far. The short leash allows me more control over my dog when we are on walks which makes me feel like we are both safer.

So far I really like this leash. I've only had it a few months so I'm not sure about the durability. It's light weight but appears strong, the padded handle is a very nice touch, the length is very good and I love the bright orange color. I also have a Lupine harness that seems to be holding up well, and its made in America

This is nice lead but I prefer the old style of latch (or whatever you would call it). This is difficult to attach and take off.

躾がてら散歩に使えればと購入しましたが、躾には最適でしたが散歩には少し短った。もう少し長いのを購入すればベストでした。商品は、丈夫で良いです。

However my 20 pound lab mix still chewed through it. Don't kid yourself, the best leash for a dog is a chain leash with a comfortable harness/collar. Would only recommend these for walks or fully supervised trips. Get a chain leash for everything else.They are made in the USA and the stitching is quite good.Lupine replaced it no questions asked but the shipping is nearly the cost of the replacement, good thing he chewed through both of these leashes to make it worthwhile.

I struggle to find longer leads in the high street pet shops unless you opt for an extender lead (which I personally do not like). This lead is a good length, I like the colour which is fashionable and it is well made, it also has a padded handle for comfort. Top Marks.

I bought these for my two Italian Greyhounds (10lbs each!) Great quality and perfect length. Wish there was an option for smaller hardware.

Nice leash but I think I got a dud coming apart at the joining the seam already with not much use within 6 weeks :-(
