Good price. The plastic is surprisingly strong, but can be cut to shape if needed. I found most laptop locks wobble a fair bit in this fitting, but they don't come out. Enough to deter a casual thief.

It's worth spending a couple of pounds more for this combination lock as it is in a different class from the cheaper one I bought which would not work at all.

It does what it says on the tin, at a good price but I would recommend spending a bit more to get a stronger cable core.The pin mechanism means no need for a key which I prefer. The articulated bits feel a bit loose but sturdy enough.One thing to check is your devices height, my laptop was thinner than the mechanism and so it props the laptop off the ground potentially leaving it prone to bending the laptop if weight were to be applied on top.

Setting up the code is easy. Fair price. Keeps my Mac safe at work. Looks strong enough

Searched for a laptop lock to fit my daughters laptop and this came up. So I bought it. Turns out it doesn't fit because its for the 'old' style Kensington slot and wont fit the newer slots (sometimes called 'Nanosaver'). Yes I should have triple-checked but then it did come up when I searched. So either its not described correctly or the search is not right. Either way I have a lock that doesn't. For the price, its not worth sending back so it will get recycled to another use.As for the lock, seems OK otherwise but the combination lock is very cumbersome due to its size.

This lock does not fit on any Dell laptops or notebooks.

It was delivered in the usual Prime plastic envelope in a small zip plastic bag containing the lock and a double-sided 3M adhesive circle matching the exact diameter of the lock. The metal disc has some reassuring feel to it. I tested my Kensington lock security cable first and the fitting is perfect. I then peeled one side of the adhesive and attached to the lock, then peeled the other side to attach to my laptop on one corner. When I engage the lock, I can pull on the cable gently, and it lifts the laptop with the disc well anchored at the corner (Not meant or recommended to dangle the whole laptop). I am sure it can be ripped off if someone is determined, and I think of it as a theft deterrent, rather than anti-theft. I don't think It is as functionally equivalent, or as visually appealing, as the older built-in slot, but it will do. Sadly, most laptop manufacturers nowadays decided to do away with the built in security slot (Cheap cost cutting step). Hopefully this thing will last. I think $7 is worth the extra piece of mind. I recommend and would purchase again. Thank you.

Se le ve de buena calidad, pero no me lo pude quedar y lo tuve que devolver porque no servía para mi modelo de ordenador. Mi modelo de ordenador tiene una ranura especial ultrafina, y hay que comprar los NanoSaver o MicroSaver.Así y todo se le veía de buena calidad para el precio que tenía.

L'attache métallique d'ancrage semble assez solide, mais il faut utiliser de bonnes chevilles pour la maintenir. Je déconseille de l'utiliser sur une plaque de plâtre ou du placo... même avec des cheveilles molly adaptée au support.Dans du carrelage, c'est plus costaud.En revanche, l'autre accroche en plastique ne sert pas vraiment, car l'adhésif est l'unique moyen de le tenir au support à protéger, et je pense que ça s'arrache assez facilement.Je n'ai pas pris ce produit pour l'accroche plastique, juste celle métallique.
