For something so easy to make, it is so detailed and realistic, representing the great fighter of the RAF. It makes a great gift and a great place to start for younger modellers. A reasonable price too, cannot argue with it.

Bought this as I wanted to get back into building aircraft construction kits again and wanted to see if I still can. For the money this is a good reintroduction to modelling. Although a snap together kit, some of the parts needed a bit of teasing to fit properly. So that made it a bit of a challenge for a wet Sunday afternoon. The moving parts on the kit move freely enough. The decals look adequate. When finished the model looks quite good, especially for the money.

As shown in the last photo one part came in a bit damaged but in general it looks fine for the price which is cheap by standards of nowadays.

Easy to follow instructions. Clips together like the well known "brick building system ". Makes an accurate, if basic, representation of the harrier. Can be glued if necessary.Age from young to old - if you can handle small bits of plastic, without eating it, recommended

I started making models over 60 years ago and have not done it for probably the last 50 so fancied starting again. This kit is really easy to build and instructions are really clear. The finished article is very good. I still prefer the old method of glueing but for anyone starting out this is an ideal introduction.

Really cool little kit, it's like airfix Lego! Kids loved them and look really cool. Will buy loads more. Great value. Recommended

Quick too build.and put together, nice and fun detail

I built Airfix kits as a kid, using my weekly 'spends' to buy kits. I showed some kits to my grandson, suggesting we give the quick start kits a go, both being Lego fans, as these kits have a Lego build about them.The kits ok, nothing overly special when compared to Lego. I can see the idea Airfix have gone for here, but I can't say he was impressed. When built it looks ok. The decals are difficult to apply and are almost invisible when on, so will leave it before trying another kit.

I was looking for an intermediate scale between 1/32 and 1/48 to go with my 1/32 WW2 figures and 1/38 scale vehicles and this worked perfectly. The wingspan measures exactly 10 inches so this puts the scale right at 1/39.It was easy to assemble even for an old 66 year old like me, not having built a model in over 40 years. Took me maybe 30 minutes? I definitely needed the instructions though. I think this model could have been made with fewer pieces.Once together I noticed the wing assembly was not that solid so I glued the smaller pieces that make up the wings. I also glued the little red knob to the propeller to keep the propeller from popping off once assembled.Once I applied the decals I then sprayed a few coats of Krylon clear coat to permanently adhere the decals.Will definitely get the P51 and Spitfire models.

I've purchased the P51 Mustang, along with the Spitfire and the Messerschmitt 109. They are all very easy to assemble and look terrific on a display shelf.

I ordered both the Spitfire Quickbuild and the ME109 Quickbuild kit. Each took at most 10 minutes to piece together, and maybe another 5 mins to affix the supplied decals. I think they will both look great on my model display shelves.

So isolated from the other Airfix models, this pseudo-lego plane is great. Pieces attach just like real lego, no loose attachments. However, I also bought the F-35 from the same brand, and they're not remotely to scale, which is quite disappointing. I'm not happy displaying them next to each other, as the F-35 is like 40% larger, when the F-22 should actually be bigger.
