Died after less than a year
Purchased June 22 and it's dead. Won't charge. Not the charger. don't know what the warrantee is on this and wouldn't even know how to get a refund/replacement.

works almost has good as name brand
I have a lawn mower, leaf blower, and chain saw that use this battery. I have the Ryobi battery also. I can cut the grass (small yard) and use the leaf blower with this battery and still have 2 bars left so last plenty long for me. It works in the chain saw but does not have quite the power. I used the Ryobi battery in the chain saw until it ran out. I put this battery in it and difference in power was noticeable. It worked but just not the same power. I'm glad I got it at the price even though not quite as good as the name brand battery.

Just not good!!
When I first got this battery replacement it worked great. After each recharge it lasted shorter and shorter. Now it will Not last more than 5 minutes. I don't leave it in the charger after it's been charged to full. I am hoping someone will do the right thing and send me a non defective replacement.

My Review
The first battery was DOA. Amazon sent me a return label and rushed the replacement. I sent the DOA back and received the credit.I have used the replacement battery 4 or 5 times and it works every bit as good as my OEM Ryobi 40V 6A battery. In fact, I have finished mowing my backyard more times with this knock-off than I have with the OEM.I haven't ripped the case off and looked at the cells, nonetheless this battery performs as good as the Ryobi battery.

Didn't last
Lasted less than 2 years. Thought it would be better.

Not bad, but not perfect
Overall, I would give this item a B+. The battery charges and operates well. It is a decent, less expensive alternative to Ryobi OEM batteries. However, its shape does not fit as well into my snowblower as the OEM batteries. It is finicky, a little bot oversized, and does not lock into position easily. I will not return it, but I also would not buy another, because as a backup battery, changing batteries on the fly is pretty important.

---Good, but has it's use
So we have a Ryobi lawn mower... This replacement battery works, yes, but the current is low... So the lawnmower does a great job with this, but does NOT step up it's speed in tall grass.... Kinda like loosing the lawnmowers feature because of the battery used. But for half the price, I'm ok with that... Just stop the mower until it comes back up to speed and move on.....

Was completely defective.
Not a good value for the money.Unfortunately the product was defective. When given the opportunity to replace the battery they just wanted it back.
