Nostalgia CCM600 Vintage Professional Cotton Candy Cart, 50-Inches Tall, Pink

We own a party rental company and Purchased two units in October 2016 with 3 year warranties each. We have about 12 of these units and they either work great or are a lemon and break within a year ( or sometimes right out of the box!) we always purchase the warranties for this reason. Well just so happened that both of the units stopped heating about a month apart and so I contacted amazon and the warranty department Assurant who both gladly took my money for the warranties but now tell me that due to them being used for commercial use they would not honor the warranties. It even clearly stated on Amazon’s website under “product description” that the units were approved for commercial use. False and misleading to offer a warranty on something advertised as approved for commercial use and then put in the fine print( terms and conditions) that commercial use voids the warranty. Will NEVER buy this product again and wouldn’t suggest it to anyone because of how hit and miss they are on working properly, especially when they deny paid for coverage!'!! Shame on you amazon for not holding your preferrred insurance company accountable for misleading us, your customers!! Lost my respect and business!

I bought this for our church to be used during children's events we do through the year. We now have a popcorn machine, several small carnival type games, a bounce house, and this cotton candy machine.Some stuff you might find useful.The bowl is just over 20 inches, so nearly 2 feet. It is easily detachable for cleaning as well. You would think this is something that was mentioned very prominently in the description, but it isn't.This comes with a measuring "cup" but the device doesn't fit well into the smaller plastic containers of cotton candy sugar I bought. It would probably work well in the "milk carton" style containers, but those wouldn't reseal as well. We did move the sugar to other containers for the event and just stored it in the smaller plastic containers.This comes with extra fuses and some other spare parts. I assume that means those parts will be needed. It is working fine so far, but I taped them under the shelf so I can find them when we do need them.Speaking of that, there is no real storage. There are two small shelves, one with holes for the tubes and one with a handle. It would be nice if there was a drawer, even a small one but alas, there is not.It comes with 6 plastic tubes for gathering cotton candy and they work pretty well.I am very glad for the bubble dome. We use it outside and I can imagine it would be problematic without the dome.I'm not a huge fan of how the wheels mount, there is a bit of play in them so they can float around and tend to sit at a bit of an angle. I'm concerned this will eventually cause them to break, but it seems this is how it was designed to fit together as both wheels are tight as I can make them and both fit the same. Under moderate use this will probably last years, but I'd be looking at an upgrade on the wheels for heavy use.Now for some details about making the cotton candy:I have used cotton candy sugar and hard candy. I found both easy to use. The instructions say to let it run for 10 minutes before adding the sugar/hard candy so that's what I do. It seems that nearly half the sugar gets thrown against the outer wall when making candy and the other half is converted to a nice floss. This sticks to the spindles very well and gathers easily.The hard candy waste much less than the sugar does, but the texture is a little more coarse and it doesn't seem to stick to the spindles as well. It sticks to start with but then seems to break loose half way through so the ball of floss starts spinning around the spindle. It isn't impossible to keep gathering at that point, just takes a slight change in technique.My favorite so far has with a Jolly Rancher green apple hard candy. That was the absolute best cotton candy I had ever had and I highly recommend it. In fact, Jolly Rancher seemed to be the best for making cotton candy. I had also tried Worther's, and butter scotch disks. I'd like to try some cinnamon disks and peppermints at some point too.

Please keep looking. If you've used a larger commercial candy maker before this one, you are going to be extremely disappointed with this machine. The cotton candy ended up under the spinning head and this particular machine ran too hot. The fluffy stuff melted as soon as it came out. Since there is no thermostat dial, you must shut off before you get 1/2 oz of product on a stick. All the sugar melted to the side of the bowl. Too dangerous for kids to ever be using. The internal box arrived damaged. Really disappointed that I am having to wait 4 days to return it since I found out what a joke this machine was on a Friday of Labor Day weekend. Anybody who had a positive experience with this was either not talking about this pos or they were paid to give 5 star review. Only gave it one star because zero wasn't an option.

I ordered this for my granddaughter's birthday party. It was a huge success. It worked very well and made plenty of cotton candy. It was delivered quickly. I did have to unplug it and move it by a window as it did set off the smoke detectors. After it was moved to an open window, it was fine. Everyone loved it!

We are so in love with this Cotton Candy Machine! We bought this for our new Candy Shoppe...it was easy to to put together and even easier to produce Cotton Candy with. This is great for Home Use or Commercial Use!

Was never able to use it the machine almost caught on fire we contacted nostalgia products they send us a part that migbt have been faulty..got the new part but never worked:(

The cotton candy machine will start to smell burnt if you need more floss and the cart is cheaply made I was putting it in my house and I barely pushed the cart and it bent!!! I only had it for not even a month so be extra couscous w the cart and make sure you always have floss so it wont smell burnt.

I just received my machine today and it was easy to put together. We let it warm up and in minutes we were eating delicious fresh cotton candy! It is a nice compliment to my popcorn machine and nacho machine. Movie night at my house is now complete.
