Expect a few bad ones - hit or miss
Bought 50 of these in past 3 months. About 4 are flaky. That's, the speed slowed down to a snail 5-10 MB/s. Couple more wouldn't eject due to a bit tight tolerance! I retried the archive on another LTO-6 bought in NY by a popular reseller and zero issue. I can certainly pan out that it's the tapes and not my LTO-6 drives. I have 3 old and recent HP drives and they all reported same issue. Can these tapes be B-stock grade or reject in out of the batch of 1000? I don't know but expect a few bad ones and some frustrations in wasted time having to redo the entire archive on a different tapes from different dealer. The tapes are legit. Just it appears to be not a good manufacturing run. Maybe have to wait for another year.2019-10-21 update: Last 40 of these do not have any labels!! Not sure if these are the reject or cheaper bulk pricing, but it's not normal. Other sellers have full labels and is almost the same price. So if you don't mind writing on the tape itself, knock yourself out. How cheap can the seller get by skimming on the HP tape labels? I'm shopping elsewhere for the free labels.2019-11-07 update: It turns out from other sellers that the free HP LTO tape labels are no longer available on the current batch. HP is cutting corners on free labels to increase their profits.. But the media itself is OK. That's what important.

Yup. They're tapes.
Not much to review with these. They're tapes. They work. I've bought a bunch. No issues with our tape libraries (Dell PowerVault TL2000). What I haven't had luck with are LTO labels on Amazon. For those I use CDW. You can buy labels there and even pick the range (1-100, 101-200, etc.), so I recommend that site if you're looking for pre-made labels.

... to other major vendors because I get the same great product for less
I have been buying this item from Amazon as opposed to other major vendors because I get the same great product for less. HPE LTO 6 Ultrium tape cartridges work fine for me.

Avoid like the plague if you might need future warranty replacements.
Out of 15 cartridges I have 4 that have, upon the 2nd full backup, developed unrecoverable write errors and are unusable. And one additional (5 failing tapes in total) tape didn't even make it through any use. I'm only just now finding this out due to yearly backup expiration and expansion of the dataset size. I have ruled out this being a drive issue as other tapes were used in the same device w/out issue.Since Media A2Z is not an authorized HP reseller, HP is telling me to, effectively, go pound sand.
