These socks work very well for me. Per my physician, I must wear compression socks all the time and these are comfortable and suitable for a variety of outfits and occasions. I was probably the only woman on the boardwalks in Ocean City, Bethany Beach & Rehoboth wearing any kind of sock or stocking but I did not feel uncomfortable or ridiculous. I choose white which goes with everything. I would caution you choose sizes carefully. I initially chose a medium based on my shoe size (81/2) and my purchase proved too large and loose. I later ordered the small and they are perfect! I wash them daily and they remain crisp and bright!

Ran a half marathon in them, works great and no soreness after. I like that they are long and come all the way up to my knees. Also they don't slip and don't wear out fast. It looks a little silly with the arrows going up your leg. Like a "this side up" sign, hahaha. But that's just looks, they work great.Update 2016, a year later: I just wore these again and I don't know if it's me or I got fat but they seemed tight. I know it's compression, but look at the pic, the stitching where the arrow and insignia are and elastic on the top left indentations on my leg.

My only complaint about these socks is not the product, it is that what I received was obviously worn and returned. They are very wrinkled at the top and have a very strong odor of some kind of lotion whoever wore them was wearing. Very disgusting! Especially since I am very sensitive to perfumes. I'd rather not hassle with the return for now so I'm going to wash them and hope they are as good as new. It would have been nice to get a new pair in the first place, however.As for the product itself, pretty good quality. I am a nurse and spend my 12 hour shifts on my feet. I bought these socks for a few reasons. For one, I was looking for a compression sock that wasn't too thin especially on the soles of the feet. These appealed to me because the soles of the feet are padded and they have the moisture wicking factor. I have other thin compression socks but I hate that they make my feet sweat. However, I also have thicker compression socks for runners but they make me too hot. These are right in between and I think they are going to be my new favorites!The compression on the socks isn't too tight, they should be comfortable to wear for an entire shift and keep my legs from becoming fatigued. I wear a women's size 8.5 shoe and my calf measures 14". I bought the small size and they fit perfectly.

I normally wear the zensah compression socks. These are cheaper and still function the same way. There might be a tad bit less compression size for size (I'm a small in both brands) but they still are snug. They are great for recovery if your calves or achilles are a bit sore after sports or working out. Or if you have to double up workouts or sports training and you need that added boost after you get out of bed, your feet hit the ground and you groan. I'm an adult recreational sports player just trying to stay fit in life...these socks are a great addition to my compression wardrobe. They have washed up well and I air dry them on a drying rack.

Too long and too tight for me. I have average calves and short legs. I do like the graduated part, wish it had fit me better because they look and feel very nice. Should work well for taller folks!

I swell up something awful when I fly on long haul flights, I tried three brands of compression socks and these were the clear winners. Nice firm compression but easy enough to get on (that is a relative thing as all compression socks are a bit hard to get on, but these I am able to manage).The arch support is magic and really helped my poor feet. That was an unexpected and happy surprise, I really bought them to help with the swelling but was just amazed at how much less pain I had in my feet when I wore them.

I'm training for a half-marathon and I've been reading about the benefits of compression socks. I decided to give the Vitalsox compression socks a try because they significantly cost less than other brands. I wear womens size 8 and I ordered a small. The fit was great, the material is nice and soft. They were a little too long as they went above my knees (I'm 5'1"). I just scrunched them down below my knees. I went for a 3 mile run and the extra cushion on the bottom of the socks helped a lot. Usually my legs start to feel heavy but no issues with pain or soreness during and after the run. I wish more colors are offered. I will definitely buy more for running and even for long flights.

While the Vitalsox compression socks look like they're high quality products, they arrived with a terribly strong perfume smell. It's as if the manufacturer soaked them for a long time in some disgusting artificial fragrance. There was no mention of this fragrance in the item's Amazon description. I live with asthma and chemical sensitivity so this is really a major problem for me. This seems to be a problem with the manufacturer because I ordered another pair of Vitalsox compression socks in a different color from another seller, and those socks were also soaked in the same perfume. It's an awful artificial fragrance that contaminates everything it touches.I made the mistake of washing the Vitalsox compression socks with my regular wash and now every clothing item from that laundry load smells like the perfume that's on the socks. I'm now washing that laundry load (without the socks) a third time to see whether I can get the scent out of the items' fabric.I'm soaking the compression socks in a bucket in a solution of baking soda and water. If I can't remove the fragrance from the compression socks I'll just throw them out. I'm about to move and I don't have time to deal with returns. If you're sensitive to fragrance, I recommend you check them out in a brick and mortar store where you can sniff them to see whether they're soaked in perfume. Good luck!

Good compression and quite comfortable. They wear well. Foot fits my size 6-1/2 okay and the leg could be a bit shorter. Would repurchase.
