My daughter is attends a private school that requires her to be picked up and dropped off via a transportation van, instead of a school bus. Because the drivers and vans alternate, she has to keep her booster seat with her at school. Lugging around a "typical" booster, even after switching to backless, is cumbersome - especially for a tiny 7 year old!The hiccappop UberBoost inflatable booster seemed like such a perfect solution that initially I felt like it was almost too good to be true. I did a ton of research to assure myself that it was a legitimate, safe product, and finally purchased one last weekend. It arrived overnight, and we were immediately able to put it to the test, as we were going to visit family over an hour away.It was simple to inflate, and is placed in the backseat of the vehicle like any other booster. After my daughter sat onto the UberBoost, I fed the lap part of the seatbelt through the guides on the left and right of the booster seat, and then used the shoulder belt adjustment strap to keep the shoulder belt away from my daughter's face and neck, and into correct placement over her shoulder.The adjustment strap was the only slightly confusing part of installing the seat - one side of the strap needs to be secured via a tight slip knot around one of the back loops of the booster seat. It took me a minute to realize that I had to use the loop located on the same side as where the child is sitting. So, if your child is seated on the right side of the car, it would be knotted through the right loop, if they're seated on the left side of the car, it would be knotted through the left loop.Once the adjustment strap loop is secured to the seat, you bring the other end of the strap up and attach the plastic buckle to the seatbelt, adjusting the clip/belt downwards, and firmly snap the buckle closed around the seatbelt.It was absolutely simple, and according to my daughter, extremely comfortable, "Like sitting on air..get it, Mom? Cuz you used air to blow it up?" We were traveling via Uber, so I was able to sit next to her in the backseat and observe. The UberBoost performs exactly like any other booster seat, it's just more compact and lightweight.We've only had it for a week now, but she's used it to travel over the weekend (and hour ride each way) and to and from school. She loves that she can deflate her seat upon arriving at school and keep it tucked away in her backpack until the end of the school day. Then it's simple to reinflate to use for the ride home.This is an absolutely wonderful product. It's safe, easy to use and is a perfect solution for anyone who uses multiple vehicles.

We bought this booster car seat because whenever we travel—or even when renting a car—we always had to rent a car seat separately for our son, which was inconvenient and pricey. This booster has been an absolute game-changer! It’s super compact, easy to inflate, and lightweight, which makes it perfect for travel. It fits in a backpack or carry-on, and we can set it up in seconds when we arrive. The narrow design fits well in most cars, and it feels safe and sturdy once inflated. Our son loves it and finds it comfortable, and we love the freedom it gives us to skip the rental seat hassle. If you're a parent who travels often, this is 100% worth it.

Took two of these with me to travel in cabs on vacation with my twins. Due to the amount of bulk with 2 of them inflated, I had to deflate and re-inflate them often through the trip and each time it was very easily done. Deflating and folding it up to put in the pouch took maybe a minute each. Inflating is easy, under a minute each. Deflated, both fit inside one pouch which helps when you’re traveling. I brought a carabiner to clip them together for occasions when I didn’t deflate them and just carried them slung on my arm, but I don’t recommend this method of carrying for long term. I clipped the carabiner on the loops meant for securing the shoulder clip and the cloth is starting to wear and stretch out too much from the weight of the booster. It’s not meant for this purpose so I can understand why it’s wearing down.Anyway, in terms of safety, I think the product works fine. Hooking and unhooking the seat belt through the metal clips takes an extra few seconds but not a big deal. Cabbies were never impatient with us when we took care of this because they’re mostly just grateful we brought our own boosters for the kids. My kids are on the small side, but they’re 40 lbs and the booster gave them enough height to safely ride with a seat belt on in the cab. I felt good about them sitting on them and my kids said they were very comfortable, even on an hour long ride. In even tiny Uber cars, I could fit one on the left and one on the right and I’d sit in the middle between them while dad sat in the passenger seat in the front. It made vacation travel super easy. I’d recommend it for travel purposes, especially for people with multiple kids. Sure beats lugging a car seat or a traditional booster.
