LG 10.5 kg Inverter Wi-Fi Fully-Automatic Front Loading Washing Machine (F4J8JSP2S, Stone Silver, Inbuilt Heater)

Ya, its one of the finest Wifi enabled IOT washing machine in the market on date with a huge capacity of 10.5kgs and thought of penning its first owner review as this piece of everyday use gadget is noteworthy!I bought it from Kohinoor Electronics for a special discounted price & purchased a 3 year extended warranty from LG @ Rs 5900/- ( the LG technician who installed the machine within 24 hours of home delivery issued the extended warranty). Sweet deal!No other than LG offers IOT, direct inverter drive & this huge laundry wash capacity of 10.5kgs so there are no options!If you visit LG website,  they show in feature list for this model with full touch panel but it is not so. In reality, as in the picture, there is a manual wash mode selection jog dial in the top middle and another touch panel on the right top corner.The washer is solidly built like a tank. The washing tub is stainless steel.Initially there was a noticeable noise and vibration during spin after installation but as I reported it to LG, their trained technician visited and tightened the nuts in the front legs and stabilized the machine. No problems thereafter.I have logged on my LG ID, 21 laundry cycles during August as per LG's ThinkQ app statistics with Cotton, Duvet and Mix wash modes. These modes take up from 1hr 40min to about 2 hours with additional Steam (de odorization) and Rinse+ (one extra rinse) options enabled. Cotton + cycle is a power saving @60 degC & 1400rpm mode for large laundry and takes up to 2 hr 15 min with additional Steam & Rinse+ option. Allergy Care was not used as the washer predicted more than 2hr 30 (up to 4hr 30min +) minutes and I do not have the luxury of running water that long.The machine can swallow humungous quantity of laundry, wash, semi dry them at ease. Duvet option nicely accomodates and washes double bed sized stuffed quilts with ease which will hang dry with few hours at humidity of 70 to 80%.Pease remember that 10.5kg laundry rating is ONLY for Cotton & Cotton + wash cycles. Other wash cycles have far lesser weight ratings.The machine probably takes in up to 70 liter water with Rinse+ enabled (additional 1 extra rinse).During 90%+ humidity rainy days in Mumbai, I just spin the laundry additionally @1400rpm after regular wash cycle and helps hang dry within 8 to 10 hours or even overnight. This is why, I did not opt for the washer + dryer model which costs disproportionately high with even higher power consumption and possible damaged to clothed due to high temperature treatment.The machine makes little to no sound even as it spins full load @1400rpm. It is probably due to the direct mounting of beltless inverter drive motor behind the drum, the drum suspension and rigid body construction.LG ThinQ app helps connect the washer WiFi with your WiFi router in the 2.4ghz band but it could  take 3 to 4 attempts to succeed. Once connected, the LG server is the middleman between your washer and the LG ThinQ app on your mobile. Explicit permission should be given by turning Remote Start to "On" from the machine each time when you wish to remotely operate via ThinQ app. This remote access ceases once the wash cycle is completed. This is really disgusting at best as you cannot connect remotely except someone at home switches the Remote Start to "On"access once again. All wash cycles can be selected via the ThinQ app, Start & Pause cycle, and finally Remote Sleep. Almost 20 wash cycles can be downloaded- one at a time to the machine for use in additiin to the default ones around the jog dial. ThinQ app however does not have any access to additional function control of the touch panels like rinse+, spin speed, temperature, turbowash, soak, steam etc which are very important to have to have a full remote control experience. Hence, in current form, the ThinQ app has a lot of limitations, is very sluggish and can be annoying. On the flip side though, Error code meaning and trouble shooting is easy via the app as details are shown. ThinQ app is a 50:50 hit and a miss and has lots of room for improvement.The laundry come out very clean, handled well with only around 50% moisture by weight after the 1400 rpm spin dry when using Cotton & Cotton + cycles.If you can afford the twice expensive liquid front load detergent (Surf matic Liquid), please do so as the powder version (Ariel/Surf front load) leaves un dissolved detergent clump in the detergent drawer and can contaminate you're rinse cycle at a later stage.Service level from LG is unflinching as they depute their technicians within 24 hours of the complaint. I experienced it in the past with their TV, Home Theater and now their washing machine. Kudos to LG!!Though the IOT ThinQ has a long way to go, this 10.5kg washing machine is a nice keeper even as it has a voluminous appetite to care for largest of you laundry!
