literally caught fire
installed on my boat. worked great for about a month then caught fire. wasn't overloaded, was just powering a chart plotter for about 10w total (this can allegedly manage 240w). i started to smell burning and found it smoking in the locker. I pulled the fuse, thought i would snap a quick pic as the danger seemed ot have passed and it burst into flames. clearly very defective and makes me worried as I use lots of victron kit. i will not be buying another.

Make sure you realise it’s the 5 amp version
The product is good, I’ve used victron converters before so I knew what I was getting. The reason for the 4 stars is the misleading way the product is described and photographed by the seller.

Not 10amp actually 5amp
Should be 10amp but are 5qmp

Works well.
Had some trouble with a previous low cost step down device but no issues with the Victron one.Hooked up to a renogy rover load with a PC fan. Works like a charm
