Zignature Lamb Limited Ingredient Formula Dry Dog Food 12.5 lb

I asked if this food was Chinese when it first came out and got a ton of flack from the distributor. I had ordered a bag and nowhere on the bag did it say, "Made in the USA". I threw it out. Now, it turns out that this food accounts for the second most occurrences of congestive heart failure in dogs. I'm so glad I was vigilant. We consumers must all be vigilant about our dog's foods! Turns out grains weren't so bad - potatoes and peas and chickpeas may be worse!

After 3 years of horrible itching solved only by Apoquel meds, I am extremely happy to say that my dog is off the Apoquel as well as all other required supplements and ailments just to prevent itching so much (coconut oil, probiotics, etc). He just gets Zignature Whitefish dog food twice a day and he itches MAYBE 2 minutes in a 12 hour period. That's beyond incredible. Worth every cent. The only downside which I don't care about is that he has bigger stools now. The extra clean up is worth it to have such a happy, comfy dog! (Bluetick Coonhound/German Pointer cross).

Don’t purchase the kangaroo flavor!!! There are lentils in this and the combination of kangaroo and lentils can cause heart failure in dogs!!!! I found out the hard way☹️ My baby is in heart failure and the cardiologist showed me research on the combination 😢😢

This is one of the few brands out there that doesn't contain potatoes and chicken.I first tried Zignature venison but the kibble at the bottom of the bag were too greasy, and my dog for some reason was still itching, but maybe it was too soon to see changes. Then, I decided to try the Kangaroo Formula, (he likes this one better) and I can see It has helped a lot my allergic dog, (Chihuahua and JRT mix) his ears cleared up for the first time and they have stayed that way!He used to spend most of the day licking and scratching like crazy but not anymore! The itch has been reduced a lot and his hair grew back in those parts where he scratched the most !!!I am very, very happy with the results. Now I rotate this food with another brand every month, I don't want him to get tired of this one.Thank you Zignature !!!!

It was delivered fast & was fresh. Some of my dogs have horrible allergies & have been on Apoquel for years. We switched from Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Formula to the Zignature Kangaroo Formula. Not only has it helped tremendously with their allergies they are only on the Apoquel on an as needed basis instead of twice a day. They love this food. Their coats are so soft & full on this food. I have a Great Pyrenees & a Husky/Shepherd mix who both are heavy shedders. The shedding has slowed down while on the Zignature. My vacuum has never been happier lol. My lab mix has a silky & shiny coat on Zignature. I'm constantly getting compliments on how nice my pups look. I would highly recommend this food especially if your dog has food allergies.

I have a 10YO Lab that had developed allergies that manifested as irritated ear canals, hot spots all over her body and constant itching...CONSTANT ITCHING!. This went on and increased in severity for the last 3 or 4 years to a point where you could genuinely see that my buddy was miserable, she was absolutely miserable and personally i think she began to give up. We tried every food available from every retailer, ran up vet bills, administered steroids, you name it, nothing helped. Then in the summer of 2021 my wife was turned on to this product from a close friend with similar issues. we begrudgingly bought a bag and damn near instantly everything changed. when i say instantly i mean within 2 days we could see a difference. fast forward to July 2022, she is a sweet old dog who is as happy as a clam. None of the issues that we had in the past have been seen in over a year. couldn't be happier with this product! She scrafs it ravenously when we feed her so we know she loves the taste. We also love it over Ice Cream (kiddin). I cant say enough about this product. I know its expensive, but try a bag if you have similar issues and see what happens!

Our dog is picky, but she loves Zessential blend of Zignature kibbles. She loves this flavor kibble. With no potatoes in this, she has completely stopped itching and biting her skin! (We had her on Merrick's but they use potatoes as a filler, which can cause excess amounts of yeast to grow on the skin and the dog can become allergic and be very itchy. That's why we switched her to this brand instead, and all her itchiness and biting herself went away!) Her coat is shiny, she is getting more protein with each meal, and her poop is much more firm than with other dog foods. She also eats the Zignature Zessential wet food and other flavors (kangaroo, lamb, duck, and turkey) and loves them. (She has allergies to chicken and this brand of kibble doesn't have chicken, neither does the wet foods listed above that she eats.)Very happy with this brand!

So glad (as are my dogs) that I found a quality dog food. I have a chihuahua and a Yorkie. They are both rescues but the Yorkie came from a puppy mill and some of the most horrendous conditions you can imagine. Bless him, he is allergic to wheat. But, grain-free dog food is easy to find. He is also allergic to yeast and potatoes and sweet potatoes. Try to find a grain-free dog food that doesn't contain potatoes of any kind. Having, in years past, having a dog develop diabetes, I also don't want any food that has sugar in it. That's a really tough one. Even some of the best dog food and, especially, treats have molasses in them. I am so thankful for Zagnature. A recent trip to the vet proved to me the worth of Zignature food. My little Yorkie is in excellent health now. The vet was amazed at just how healthy he is. I change flavors every so often, always adding some of the new flavor a little bit at a time to the 'old' flavor. Zignature may cost of bit more than some other so-called 'good' brands, but prevention of health problems and less expensive than treatment.

My dog was diagnosed with severe IBS and this product was to be within the 1-10 brands. It made my dog worse. It has by products in it that are not labeled. So now I am on the search for another brand. A blue Heeler is an Australian Cattle dog and should only eat high protein meat foods. This did not sit well with her.

My German Shepherd has had skin allergies for the past 4 years. We have tried many different allergenic dog foods, raw diet, apoquel and cytopoint injections. Since putting him on this dog food he no longer requires medication. This dog food has finally given our loyal pup comfort and saved us at least $250/month!

My 2 dogs love this food. It is easy on their stomachs, they had no trouble getting used to it when I first switched. It comes in several flavours- basic formula is the same, so you can switch to a different one without causing upset tummies. It is made from natural ingredients, so it is a healthy alternative for your dog. Also, it is recommended for both puppies and adult dogs, so no need to change their diet as they get older. Best part is- I winter in the US, and I can get it shipped to both countries.

I feed both my small dogs Zignature dry food. I feed them this flavour, Whitefish as well as the Trout and Salmon. I was told the basic formula is the same for all Zignature foods, that it is just the flavour component that is different, so you can switch flavours without the usual "introduction of a new food" hassle. Their poops are small and easy to pick up, and you don't have to feed them massive volumes because it isn't filled with useless bulk. I highly recommend the product.

Great food, my frenchies love it! Also we recently moved to a small town from Vancouver BC......so ordering food from amazon is fANtastic!
