KingSize Men's Big & Tall Tall Terry Velour Hooded Maxi Robe

I ordered a size 4 sizes bigger cause I wanted something bigger . I have not been happy with the robes I have been getting plus not know how these ran small large. I went going for large A LOT!! This is great it is warm and it goes to the ground and I can wrap it around me more than once. But It is so comfortable. I washed it for the first time for me in hot water and dried on a heat for this material, instead of cold delicate and air dry. I think it helped it shrink a little. I didn't think to throw a white cloth in to see if it bleed so I can't say on that. But it has been great for mornings and nights taking my Riddick out to potty and it is cold I haven't had to use a coat. This is sewn and surge well. I only had one place on the cuff where riddicks toe nail caught a stitch and pulled. And let me tell you the price was awesome!! I bought another robe just recently that cost me about 15.00 more and it shrunk bad and bleed and anyway. This is a great deal. I will probably buy another one but smaller size. Brand new, the robe seems fantastic, it does not however wash well with each washing revealing more of its poor quality.I originally liked it so much that my wife bought me another in Stripes. It TOO was poorly made and now BOTH are returned. That KingSize sells this and is unaware how poorly these are made does not seem realistic but perhaps Amazon will reconsider selling such poorly made clothing?

I wish KingSize or anyone would make a THICKER material robe because this feels like "just barely enough" and the stitches have yet to be tested with time and use. I have one from another discontinued brand that isn't quite as large as this 4XL one which is why I got this for the extra fabric to envelope me after a hotbath without me bits popping out and terrifying the gentry. Definitely a good amount of drape and overlap at the front so you can relax with your knees apart a bit while laying down. Overall a worthwhile value but as a recommendation, make the front panels just a few inches wider for even better "retention" especially towards the upper chest area (they slide with only the tied belt to hold them in the general placement) and work on making the pockets have a more natural positioning at the sides as they're too towards the center to function as casually-inserted handwarmers (make pockets wider too, I guess, and a little deeper). Imagine the pockets starting at the side-seam and extending about halfway to the center-opening on each frontpanel and then a bit deeper to keep a spare 357 and a pack of smokes without concern of your lighter falling out. This is KingSize and sometimes a King just wants to wear a robe and carry stuff. Make these more kingly and worthy of the name!So yes, thicker material, deeper-outwardly-positioned pockets, and just a tad more width on front panels per size for a more luxurious, enveloping fit.

Ohh my god I love this thing. I'm a stocky guy and have been having a very hard time finding a robe that fits, i.e. closes in the front. I probably ordered one that is bigger then needed but it is wonderful and am very happy with the size and how it fits. Me and my girlfriend can snuggle up inside of it and we have. My only complaint which is not really a complaint is I wish the material was a little thicker, but then again when pulled around it is plenty thick and considering how few options there are for manly sized robes it is a small concession.

Ordered it large to get a couple of features to line up:1) A waist belt that went around my hips instead of pressing on my irritable lower back.2) Pockets below the belt (instead of bisected by it)3) Pockets at an appropriate position for keeping phones in while seated - no strange abdominal noogies from my hardware, thanks! And definitely no phones popping out onto pavement.4) Drapes down to the tops of my feet - you may want it a touch shorter if you have to deal with stairs on the regular, but I like to lounge outdoors with coffee in winter, so the full coverage is nice.The hood, heft of material, and apparent quality of construction are all gravy (albeit welcome).Sadly, this product has become unavailable, and Amazon doesn't keep sufficient order detail readily accessible that I can be sure of what size I purchased (in the seller's in-page terms) to get the fit I did at 6"1', avg. build. If this ever becomes available again, and I notice, I'll update this review with the information. Heck, send me a comment on this review if it becomes available, and you're feeling curious.

I'm a big guy that usually wears a 6X. I wanted a robe that didn't just fit but had some extra material so i ordered the 8X and it is perfect. The robe is soft and cozy but still thick and heavy enough to keep you warm, even running trash to the road during an Iowa winter.

My husband is a big guy, 6'3" and 350+lbs, so I got the 4X size. I have had a very hard time finding a cotton robe that would fit and be comfy for him. Only took me five years, but Amazon finally came through! Was a hard decision because of the price. But I know that this is an investment in his comfort and will last quite a few years. He uses it on cold winter nights, when he is sick and out of the shower. I got it in the black color which suits him and he loves it. Very happy customer.

The material is a bit thinner than I hoped for, but still seems to be very good quality. I noticed no loose threads or sloppy sewing/seams. The robe encompasses my not-insubstantial girth without me feeling like it's a close call. The belt/tie is plenty long and doesn't interfere with the pockets. The hood is spacious and deep. The sleeves go well past my wrists without getting in the way of my fingers. (I'm 6'3"/340 and ordered the 2x/3x Tall). Construction seems sturdy and it has a good heft to it. The length is amazing, going almost to the tops of my feet.There were some customer service related issues that I wasn't thrilled with, but overall, I'm QUITE satisfied with this purchase, and I'm comfortable recommending it.
