GODIVA Chocolatier Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa Canister,14.5 oz

Rich taste and texture, warm and comforting. A suggestion would be for Godiva to add Dark Chocolate Chips to formula, to take taste experience to next level. Chocolate depth of flavor would get even better with the addition of “chips” and minus a little sugar. Cost of item makes this a luxury gift.

This is by far the best cup of hot chocolate I've had in my life! The taste is so pure and so indulging... I was sick of the cheap hot cocoa from Swiss Miss and other brands that were loaded with fillers, misc. and cheap ingredients. This was a bit pricey, but way worth the cost when having REAL QUALITY hot chocolate! This will be my # 1 choice when having a desire for good chocolate! Some people mention that there wasn't a lot of flavor or it was bitter... well... that's because it's DARK CHOCOLATE! It's suppose to have a little bit of bitterness, but it's not bitter in a bad way. It's an inquired taste for those who love real dark chocolate. My sister and I agree that it's best to dilute the milk by adding in some water... the idea is to soften the milk flavor and focus on the chocolate part of the drink. I haven't actually tried it and it does sound gross, but maybe I might not have been using enough powder. Two table spoons seem enough for me. I might add a third. I defiantly recommend at least trying this. It doesn't have corn syrup solids or other weird ingredients. It's like basically dehydrated chocolate without any milk products, although they mention it could have a milk product in it which is strange. I'll update my review with all the ingredients to let you know what's in it when I'm more awake. I'm feeling tired after having a cup at 10pm...

I don't have much experience in drinking hot chocolate so I can't be sure this is the best one. I really like Godiva chocolates and I think this chocolate powder is good, not super sweet. But I can't say I feel the richness. I drink it rarely when I badly crave for chocolates and when I don't have any near me, so it helps with my cravings and it's been good so far.

Good but not great.

While it is quite expensive, this hot chocolate mix is the best I’ve ever tasted outside of Europe. It is very rich so a little goes a long way, even w/ nonfat milk. Wonderful, wonderful taste. Well worth the wait.

I read that "America's Test Kitchen" rated this as the best hot cocoa mix in a taste-testing [Season 8: Old-Fashioned Breakfast Cakes] and so I ordered this. I made a mug of this alongside a mug of Swiss Miss and the differences were incredible:The GODIVA Dark Chocolate looked like a cup of coffee when compared to that other stuff, and tasted like rich, dark chocolate and not like overly sweetened cocoa-milk. Not the same tasted as shop store, but still good
