I put a metal roof on my chicken coop for the first time. When I was done I had to trim off 10 inches on one side. At first I just used some standard metal cutters - HUGE mistake! It lefts horrible razor edges and it was impossible to keep a straight line. I gave in and bought the right tool for the job and they worked amazing.The grip is perfect and make it easy to control. They cut with very little effort and make it easy to keep a straight line. When I went back and fixed my shotty first attempt it came out perfect. Glad I have these they are super durable and I will definitely use them again.

These cutters are robustly made and very sturdy. The serrated "gripping" side to the blades does an excellent job of holding the material. The offset angle helps get at your work, even in a tight space, while preserving the strength of the cutting force. I used them to trim steel "T-bar" false ceiling rails, and they almost always cut through each side and the central part cleanly, without any problem, although a two-handed grip was required to cut through the thicker central main rail sections. When sighting your cut, be prepared to offset your blades about 1/8" if sighting from the serrated side of the nearest blade, to have the cut where you want it - experiment on a scrap piece.

I bought these to cut roof metal and they cut great on the flat but it’s very difficult to go over the ribs. That’s more my fault. If you have flat metal they are great.

Cut thin aluminum very well, has stayed sharp through several long cuts. Angled handle gives nice cutting space and torque.

I buy these every few years. I wear these things out. Use frequently and heavy. The abuse they go through and how long they last is amazing. Cutting multiple layers of sheet metal can be much easier with these.

I tried to cut some thin copper and the were having a lot of trouble doing so granted it was folded at the edge my older ones that I was going to replace with these worked way better, only difference is my old pair were not offset and they were skinnier.
