Good pilot ink
This ink is great. A nice brown, but with water more red, so interesting to apply a water brush to. Great for ink + wash style drawing in a fountain pen. Also, a very nice bottle!

Beautiful ink, beautiful bottle
Beautiful ink, beautiful bottle. This brown is more complex than a lot of others, with enough red in it to appear like true sepia - depending on the nib/concentration of ink.

Nice ink
Dunno if the high price makes it seem psychologically better, but this ink seems psychologically better. This colour is a matt brown to my eye - I can't see a lot of red. Flows really well in a Lamy Lx 090 Marron Fountain Pen Nib M.

My favorite
I love to write in brown and this ink is my favourite. Not too dark, not too light. Iroshizuku is a great quality ink. So just choose your color and enjoy!

Beautiful, well-behaved brown ink with a hint of red
I've been looking for a rich medium brown ink for quite a while now, and have tried various shades made by Waterman, Jacques Herbin, Monteverde, and others. None of them were quite what I wanted in terms of saturation, color or consistency. Then I sampled Tsukushi ink in the Pilot Iroshizuku line. It's a beautiful ink, a medium brown with just a hint of red that shows up depending on the quality of the paper, and the type of pen and nib being used. It's very similar in color to Waterman Absolute Brown, but I prefer it because it's a bit wetter and flows more consistently. In the sample I've provided (which doesn't really do the ink justice), I've used a Pilot Kakuno Pen with a medium nib. The ink bonded well to the inexpensive tablet paper I used it on, dried fast, and didn't bleed through to the other side of the paper. I can see it becoming my "go-to" medium brown ink. Certainly the bottle and packaging are stunning! Try it for yourself. I think you'll be impressed.

Beautiful ink.
Nice looking bottle! Ink works great. Good saturated colour. Nice and smooth in a variety of pens that I have. Flows great. Dries quick with Fine nibs. Good shading with the broader nibs. Best used on high quality paper. Not a waterproof ink and it does not claim to be. Cleans out easily from my pens without any staining. Overall, a great writing experience using it.
