Fender Champion 100XL, Digital Modeling Guitar Amplifier Combo

I've always stuck with marshall tube amps but I'm not jammin' at the palladium anytime soon so I don't have $3k to spend. I've always liked the fender champion series for the power and versatility, for $450 this is a really nice amp compared to other manufacturers. I play all types of rock from Led Zeppelin to Cannibal Corpse and this bad boy can hang! It's going underneath my desk for lunch break. lol. PS- the effects component is perfect for jammin' slayer!!!

While this is a good amp, the cabinet is made of particle board and the dial face is a thin film easily damaged. The pots a not rugged and are supported by the PCB they are soldered to. So while the performance is very good, the amp lacks the ruggedness that their tube models.

Miss the FENDER TWIN REVERB SOUND of this AMP, IT ROCKS!!!

My husband loves it

Using it for practice for over 2 years. It gets alot of use because it's simple, and straight forward. Use clean channel with a tube overdrive, fuzz, and compression pedals. Has a 2nd overdrive channel, but have not really used it much. The Celestian speakers sound incredible at low volume or cranked up. Exceptional value for a versatile amp.

The amplifier lasted about 13 months. Turned it on after using it the night before, no sound from either channel. The amp sat in one spot the entire time. Never moved volume past 3. Contacted both Fender and Cosmo for warranty work. To get the warrantee work done you have to ship it to Cosmo at your expense. I live in BC and Cosmo is in Ontario. The shipping was more than the amp is worth. My recommendation if you still want to purchase, make sure that there is a Fender Equipment Service Center reasonably close, or know how to use a multimeter and have replaced IC chips before.
