Weaver Leather Xtended Life Closure System Adjustable Breakaway Nylon Horse Halter

I was a little disappointed in this halter originally because the nylon holes where the buckle prongs in have frayed a bit early on. However, today, my horse stepped on her lead rope because my boyrfriend let it drag on the ground again. She pulled back and the velcro breakaway did exactly what it was supposed to do! We simply put the velcro back together and ended up with a safe, unharmed horse and a halter that we can keep using over and over again. I love this feature and I love that it's velcro and not some leather piece that probably wouldn't work as well, and would otherwise need to be replaced. Strongly recommend this safety halter.

Love the quality and first time I put it on my mare it immediately came handy with the velcro break-a-way when I dropped and she stepped on the lead rope. Reared her head up fast and the velcro came loose as it should have. Very very nice and totally worth the money!

Great halter for when I can't use the rope halter. It fit perfectly and I like the throat latch for easy removal

I've been using these halters for a few years now. They hold up well and keep the horses safer. They last better than the versions with the leather fuses. I've also found them to be very adjustable, to fit horses with different head shapes.

Returned because it was too small for my horse. Also wasn’t a fan of the Velcro. Would prefer just leather. Is very nicely made though

I bought this halter for my Thoroughbred cross as my go-to halter for trailering. One time, I was loading him up in the trailer and hooked him up to the tie before he was fully situated in his spot when his hind end slipped off the trailer and he threw up his head from being scared. The velcro strap came undone as it should and I easily slapped the velcro back in place and put the halter back on to finish loading up. I LOVE this halter, if the same thing had happened on a non-breakaway halter, I don't want to think about how bad he could have hurt himself. Unlike a breakaway halter with a leather strap, i was able to use it immediately instead of go back to the barn to find another halter or crown. Definitely recommend!
