TAMIYA35367 1/35 German Heavy SP Howitzer Hummel Plastic Model Kit

Got this here for less than local hobby shop was asking. As with most Tamiya models in went together easy, and parts fit is good. I have not finished all my weathering effects yet, still figuring out what I want to go with. Tracks are the multiple sections and links that you glue together. Harder to assemble but have the built in track sag that looks more realistic for a static display. Overall, a fun model to build.

This is a high quality kit from Tamiya. It is reasonably priced for what you get in the kit. The kit does not include vinyl tracks. Instead it has styrene link and length tracks which are better for simulating track sag. Upper armor plates are thin and correct for scale. The kit comes with three figures, ammunition crates, shells and casings. Road wheel bolt detail is excellent. The kit is a recent 2019 release. Although it is not as.detailed as the Dragon version, it has better parts fitment and is less complicated to build than Dragon's kit. Overall, I highly recommend this kit if you want to build a late production Hummel in 1/35 scale.

Very nice kit goes together well, no fit problems. Has fit together tracks go on okay. Great model kit.

I'm always enjoying build Tamiya kits . Everything fits as lego blocks. And easy to follow manual , easier to build but not cluttered. ( Chinese kits have too many parts and parts don't fit that well many times; Tacoma, Dragon, Trumpeter..etc) Tamiya is theeee best.

I have not assembled the kit yet but have looked at the instructions and the parts sprues. The kit comes with figures which is a definite plus. Unlike many of the kits today, there are no photo etched parts or very small easy to loose or break parts. I am not a fan of photo etched parts and some of the kits today go overboard on tiny parts which if you are a fumble fingers can be a real pain. Over the years I have built many Tamiya kits and have been very satisfied. With a good paint and weathering job and some imagination, the Tamiya Hummel will make an excellent diorama without any aftermarket parts
