Didn't work with Lightscribe in two drives
The only reason to buy these discs is if you use Lightscribe. The price of Lightscribe disks has jumped ridiculously since HP discontinued the technology and they are getting harder to find. I've tried various brands, all with high failure rates for the Lightscribe labeling except for Verbatim discs. Unfortunately those were sold out (with no availability date) so I decided to try these Philips. The first 4 I tried were not recognized as Lightscribe discs on 2 different drives (HP and Pawtec). The 5th was recognized, but the label was mangled and unreadable after printing. Just to be sure it wasn't a drive problem, I used my last Verbatim disc and the label printed beautifully on the same drive. I'll be switching to the ink-jet printable DVDs in the future, though based on the online reviews, the quality of virtually all brands of these has gone down too and they have a high data failure rate. Maybe this was just a bad batch, but I'll be returning them for a refund. ..

Lightscribe is dead to me now
I don't like the price and won't buy any more of these. I guess the "lightscribe' thing never caught on well enough. The blank dvds work very well but I just don't feel that they are worth $2.00 each to keep using the fancy dvd labeling software. A SHARPIE works just as well on any brand of $.37 blank media.

OUTRAGEOUS PRICE!! Same quality Phillips Lightscribe CD-r that we love.
These are the same GREAT Lightscribe CD-r disc that we know and love. Only now they are UNGODLY EXPENSIVE!!!!! I had to have them though, and passed them on to a customer at my cost.I suppose Lighscribe is going by the wayside, very sad, I loved them. The price though is a total rip off, and sellers know it. Doubt I will buy again, unless someone is dumb enough to pay it. It isn't coming out of MY pocket though.ONE STAR is only due to price.

Will not be recognized by all Lightscribe drives
The portable LG BP06LU10 Lightscribe drive I bought for my new desktop wouldn't recognize Philips Lightscribe media. Luckily, my old computer which has a LG internal Lightscribe drive will detect the Philips Lightscribe media. The labels look great. I'll be hanging on to my old computer for a while longer. I gave Philips Lightscribe media 3 stars because not all Lightscribe drives will recognize the media.

Stockpiling an obsolescent technology
I have not used any of these yet, but one of my hobbies to digitizing my analog music library on to jukebox cd's, with decent on disc labels. Lightscribe has met my needs, but I understand it is now defunct, as well as the fact that cd's are obsolescing. So I stockpiled. Should be all I need.

A Format That WILL Be MIssed
UNFORTUNATELY, this product is being DISCONTINUED.It works great and I just wish I could have afforded one more box of 50.No 'faults' / errors during recording.LightScribe etching was great.Just do not understand why LightScribe did NOT 'catch on'.Lousy 'MARKETING'???

These dvd came out very bad, the lightscribe recognized a dvd and towards the cover and two dvd not, and others did but not with the design that I had made them as with spots.I really feel very frustrated, in the end I had to go to officedepot And make the labels on paper spend more money to make the DVDs that were 30 of them. In short I do not recommend them at all.Lightscribe do not recognize this kind of dvd, Very bad experience.

I have used Verbatim in the past with perfect light scribing
First time buying this brand, I have used Verbatim in the past with perfect light scribing.Every time I try to burn using my LG light scribe burner, get an error message light scribe media is not recognized.Tried several times to get updated software, no luck. So seems like I have $100.00 worth of worthless light scribe media.I'm open for suggestions.
