Sculpted = Attack angles
I kept hearing a lot of good things about these Primetone guitar picks. I wanted to try one but they're kinda pricey. This traditional shape was the most affordable. The angles on these sculpted picks really helps with attacks on leads. There's very little resistance making it super fast. The texture of the lettering provide a really comfortable grip. Strumming is smooth also and no real pick noise noted.

Instantly Became My Favorite Guitar Pick
Disclaimer: this is only for acoustic guitar. I use Different picks for electric. But for acoustic guitar playing I bought every known and unknown guitar pick on the market over the last year and a half. Every brand and every material. Celluloid Gortex Ultex bone horn shell wood you name it. And every gauge. These specific picks have for now at least replaced my love for the amazing smooth matte surfaces Dunlop gortex picks — which are still fantastic picks BTW, simply because they too are Gortex and are just as smooth, but with sculpted edges and a very usable and helpful grip on both sides. I’ve compared them to every other pick in sound tests and they have the least invasive most pure tone. None of that clanky plasticy sound of regular celluloid picks or bone or shell or horn picks. Just pure sweet rich acoustic tone. Easy to grip and hang onto. I love That they come in an .88 gauge, as opposed to having to choose between the too-thin .75 gauge or the slightly too thick 1.00 gauge. They’re damn near perfect.

Snappy picks, and long lasting
Great picks with a snappy sound. Texture keeps them from slipping and turning in your hand. Plus they last a long time.

Nice grip, string feel - but so/so tone
This pick is a beautiful color with excellent string feel and grip (even for sweaty hands). The perfectly finished bevel allows it to glide quickly off the strings. It's ultem so it's rather stiff for any given gauge and is very durable. But, of course, the tone is what's important here and to me it's rather dull: it sounds warmer and more subdued than even nylon. I have standard Ultex picks from Dunlop that have a nice bright tone, but this Primetone does not compare. I play electric so perhaps this really only shines on acoustic, but for distorted or overdriven electric it's not better than standard Ultex, to my ears. The tone and value are lost on me.

Great picks
These picks are easy to hold onto and don't slide around in your fingers the way smooth ones do. My only complaint is they're expensive for a little piece of plastic.

Fantastic for acoustic guitar
The best picks I've ever used for acoustic guitar. Because they're so heavy, probably not the best for simple strummers. But if you want exceptional dynamic and tonal control, especially for single notes, these are hard to beat. Highly recommended.

I think these are the best
I have used these in the smooth version and really like them. I was going to get more when I saw that they have them with the grip. I am glad I did. Gives a lot more feel of position as well as far superior grip. Great for adjusting a capo with the pick between fingers and getting it back in grip. I am a believer.
