Malfunctioned after 5 months
I bought this watch and initially loved it. From reading all the reviews on here you can tell that it is a great watch, and the Victorinox name should have people buying with confidence. When I first started wearing it I noticed that the little hand responsible for timing things was not returning directly to the top when I reset it. It was barely noticeable and it didn't really bother me. 5 months later, the entire chronograph system was malfunctioning. I will be sending this to the repair shop to get it fixed, and I am confident that Amazon will make this right, but think twice about buying online. There is a reason they are able to sell the watch for $200 less than other retailers. I am no longer confident I received the same quality watch I would have received if I had bought the watch at a Macy's. How often does a Victorinox malfunction after 5 months of use?1/3/12 Update: just received my watch back from the repair center and nothing was fixed. Very unhappy with this service as I have to be without my watch for another month. Spend the extra money and buy from a reputable jeweler.5/1/13 update: I read a comment about recalibrating the timing function, and it did work. Still only 4 stars since I don't think that should be a regular problem, and they actually had to fix the watch once.

No Serial Number on Watch
I ordered this item and compared it to a new one from a local retailer. The only really thing different that i could tell by examining it for a very long time was that this watch doesn't have a serial number. I don't know if it never had one or was buffed off but a new one from a reputable retailer definitely has a serial number and this one doesn't. The backing on this watch looked a little duller than the one from the reputable retailer as well so it may have been buffed off. I dont know if it is a fake or not but i am happy with it. I tried emailing this company to ask about the serial number being missing or buffed off but could never get anyone to respond. I think i even got my emails returned so i don't know if the address they give is even valid. I have been having this watch for 4 months now and have not had a single problem with it. I saved a lot of money ordering it through this company compared to a reputable retailer but i just don't know if it is a fake or not.

Excellent casual watch
I was searching for a new casual watch for quite sometime when I came across this watch. There were several Swiss Army brand watches that I liked, but this model in particular caught my eye. It's not everyday that you see a watch with black trim around the bezel and black buttons for the stopwatch feature. I thought this was a nice contrast to the stainless steel and the photos online convinced me to make the purchase.When the product arrived, I was not let down. The pictures do not do this watch justice. The stainless steel band is much shinier in person and there is just something different about the face of the watch that I can't quite put my finger on, but it looks better in person too. I've had the watch for a few weeks now and I have already received several comments on it. One from my Dad who is a watch fanatic (he owns multiple Rolex's, a Tag and a Swiss Army).The watch has a nice weight to it. Not too heavy, not too light. I have fairly skinny wrists and I was afraid that the face would be too big. It turned out to fit me perfect. Overall, this is a fantastic watch that I would recommend to anyone looking for a great casual watch.

What A Pretty Face!
Very nice watch for the price of $270 (price fluctuates on Amazon). The dial (face) looks better in-person than on the Amazon picture which doesn't do it justice. The band is made for a very large men's wrist so I had mine adjusted for a men's medium-sized wrist. If you have a thick wrist, you should not be concerned that the band is too small. The face will fit all wrist sizes as it's just the perfect size. Fit and finish are excellent and all sub dials work flawlessly. You can dress this up for use with a sports jacket or down as a weekend watch. Would not recommend for formal events as it's a little too casual.

Looks good but is faulty.........
Good news and bad news. The good news is that the delivery service for this item was exceptional. I ordered it on Tuesday midnight, and after it was passed between two cities in Kentucky, then on to Philadelphia, then over to East Midlands in England, it arrived with me in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Friday lunchtime. Still on the good news, the watch looks classy and appears very well made. Now the bad news. The stopwatch functions don't work - pressing the little black buttons either results in nothing happening at all, or something that is completely different to what is meant to happen. I now have to decide whether to face the hassle of going through the returns procedure, or just settle for a watch that doesn't do all that it's meant to do. Very disappointing.

I am very pleased with my watch
I am very pleased with my watch. The watch does look nicer in person. I read a review that question the authenticity of the watch. The reviewer stated he did not have a serial number engraved on the watch. My watch does and has been keeping perfect time, all be it for a couple of days. I got it sized by a jeweler who seemed to think the watch was authentic. I'm not sure why the were able to charge almost $300.00 bucks less then Macy's, but at this stage, who cares. I guess, pardon the pun, time will tell😉

He loves it!
I bought several Swiss Army watches for gifts over the past 2 years and every one of the them holds up well. This is a very smart looking and well built watch. It is not too small or too big. It is just the right size for an average man's wrist. The black dial and the chrome band are good neutral colors so the watch will complement any outfit. It can be worn as casual or business. If you only own one watch, this is a solid choice.

Not what I expected
It didn't arrive on time. Then when I got it I received another watch, maybe it was switched in customs by a very cheap watch. Meanwhile I don't have the watch I ordered, had to pay tax for another cheap watch and the seller says I have to look into it and go to the Mexican authorities. I would expect him to solve this matter for me since they have more information on the carrier among other things. I am very disappointed. Hope to get a refund or the watch I ordered.

Very happy with this watch
Very happy with this watch. Had been planning to buy the Chrono Classic 241494 model but ended up buying this one instead when it went on sale for a fair bit cheaper. Wasn't sure about the black buttons from the picture but saw a video review online that made me think might not be as pronounced as I thought initially. When I received it I was very happy to find that they don't stand out nearly as much as I thought and actually blends well with the watch. I like the look quite a bit and for the price couldn't be happier.
