Protect-A-Bed Basic Waterproof Mattress Protector, King Size

This is not the highest end cover, but that is what I wanted. I had the more expensive one, and it was very quiet and more smooth, but I didn't want to pay the price difference.This cover does have a slight crinkle sound, but it's not too bad. You mainly hear it when putting it on; however, simply rolling over doesn't make that noise. If you tap the sheet with your finger, quickly, you can hear a slight slapping/crinkling sound.I'm pretty picky and crinkling would really annoy me. This is hardly noticeable, but I thought I would still mention it. This cover is totally water proof, and seems to be holding up. We're very careful to dry it on the low setting in the dryer.I highly recommend this cover.

I've bought several mattress protectors and this is the only one i like! i have a king size pillow top mattress. None of the others have fit right! They all slid off and made a lot of noise. I was a little weary at first because it's so thin I didn't know if it would hold fluid. But after my dog pissed on it several times, it did not get a drop on my mattress. And it's so easy to wash. I add two cups of ammonia to the wash when it has pee on it. That gets all that pee out. I've washed this mattress protector so many times & it still works GREAT! I LOVE THIS MATTRESS PROTECTOR and would def. recommend. In fact after buying this one i bought one for the rest of the beds in my house too. Those were size twin and fit great also. and they are not noisy at all. You can't even tell they are there until some thing happens and your thanking GOD you bought it! I wouldn't get a bed w/ out it now! My bed still looks brand new, and i'll never use a bed now unless it has one of these protector. This is also the best price out there. GREAT PRICE AMAZON.. I received the wrong size three times when I ordered the Protect-a-Bed basic Mattress Protector in the size XL TWIN. This order is the correct size, I will order one more soon. I love this protect-a-bed mattress protector. Thank you for getting me the XL Twin size. Got the correct size this time and I love the mattress protector.

Noisy, plastic feel, slides around under the sheet

This is a good protector for my kids' beds. It does not make noise when they move around and is fairly soft to the touch. It washes well and has not shrunk (I dry on low or med). Be careful not to use fabric softener as this will reduce effectiveness of wetness protection in barriers of this nature.

Update 7/23 - I contacted Protect-A-Bed for warranty service since I have now had 2 separate mattress protectors fail. The waterproof backing completely peeled off under normal use and by-the-books machine washing and drying. The company didn't seem to care. Take you business elsewhere!It is not waterproof - we've had it leak with toddler accidents twice now. So it's basically worthless, as it doesn't perform the fundamental purpose of a mattress protector. Save you money and purchase a LinenSpa one - we have a bunch of those and they work great.

Thought at first this would be great, it does stop moisture from going through, but in order to do that the fabric is made of something that seems to have plastic in it. The surface is therefore a tiny bit slippery so the sheets move around and get bunched up. It got to the point I didn't like it. That said, it might not bother other people because it's only a slight problem.

This the second of this brand of mattress pad I've purchased. I'm elderly and sometimes if I scratch a bug bite, it will bleed copiously. The stain never goes thru to the mattress. My mattress top looks,as good as it did the day I bought it! My daughter has also purchased this brand on my recomm.
