As other reviewers say, this adapter is not wired correctly. Even though it is described as "The PS/2 to AT 5 Pin DIN cable convert a PS/2 keyboard to use with an AT port , perfect for converting older keyboard and mouse," the AT pins are not wired to the appropriate PS/2 pins. This adapter almost overheated the controller on my Model M, because of how VCC is wired up. I was in a hurry and didn't check the reviews before I bought it. Give this one a pass!

Exactly what I needed to use an old keyboard on a newer desktop

I actually cut off the molded jacket of the 5 pin female socket and imedialy saw pin 1 empty and 3 had a connection.Meaning they reversed the wires.Along with not working, this puts REVERSE POWER on the keyboard. I tried 2 before becoming suspicious, one of them was destroyed as a result.Thanks a**h***s.

conected it and all to try to get working with my model M keyboard and it didnt work, no lights no signal no nothing, just doesnt work, im gon take it apart and see if they ordered the cables wrong, as i saw one person here mention that was the case with theirs. but egless you wan do the same i would not recomend buying
