Heavy duty and works
I needed a tie-out stake for my German Shepherd that was heavy duty and would stay in the ground until we are able to finish building a fence. My husband mentioned that the only thing thing that would work is one of those green fence stakes that you pound in the ground. Well, that’s great and all but I’d still have to deal with her getting her cable wrapped around a pole. After much research I found this, which basically is a shorter version of what he was talking about. One thing to consider is if you have hard, rocky ground this will take some work to get in the ground, much like any other fence stake. We live in Ohio so our yard is usually soft and wet this time of year (March/April/May). It took about 2 minutes to hammer it all the way down into the ground due to the wet ground. The chain at the top is a plus. The 30’ tie-out cable I purchased to go with this is from Chewy.com and has rotating clasps so when used with this stake the cable doesn’t twist at all. I highly recommend this product. It is extremely durable and seems like it will do the job and stay in the ground. I am pretty certain the only way we’re going to be able to remove it from the ground will be a tractor jack/farm jack.

Stays put worth the money.
Great tie out stake. Had one similar that lasted for 12 years. Took a bit of hammering to get in the ground but hasn't moved, would recommend putting in damp ground. Would definately recommend.

Great Product
I use these all around my one acre property to move my dogs around. They are sturdy and tangle free. I use a yellow plastic stake on the end when no dog is attatched so I can find them again and also not catch the chain in a mower (the chain is usually too low for that but just for safety sake). If you don't use them often be prepared to hunt for a while if you don't mark them some way in the yard. I have been using them for 3 years now and not had one fail yet.

Paws Down the Best Tie-out Stake
I was told about this product by a friend when I posted a picture on social media of what my twist-in tie-out stake looked like after about 6 months of use by my 100# dog (bent at a 45 angle). Bought this and I am supremely confident he, or it, will go anywhere! I have been using it for about 6 months now. I spray painted the chain orange so when I mow the lawn I can see it easier.

One of the best on the market.
This is one of the best on the market... My large dogs are not able to pull it out of the ground like the screw in type..... Just wish the price was a little better but you get what you pay for...And the orange makes it easy to see when you are mowing..

Great for peace of mind!
We have a very headstrong German Shepherd who has pulled all other stakes out of the ground in the 1st day. We put him on a mobile home tiedown stake and he bent it and proceeded to get his chain in a knot. I have used these stakes in the past and knew I needed one. Works wonderfully and he hasn't pulled it from the ground not even once and hasnt been tangled at all. Well worth the money for peace of mind!

This is the best stake out we have ever used
This is the best stake out we have ever used. I initially had trouble finding this product and used two others found at pet stores. Both broke. I finally found this online and it's great. We already had two others and were determined to only use these. This product should be first choice for everyone. It won't bend when it's hammered in and we have others that have been in the ground for many years and are still as solid and dependable as when first purchased.
