EdupressReading Comprehension Practice Cards, Inference, Yellow Level (EP62990)

I LOVE these cards and use them as game cards for the multiple homemade game boards I've made for my class. I could put these cards out every day with a different game board, and the kids would still want to play. I am currently using this set with first graders who are reading above grade level, because they are using them independently. These cards would be appropriate for second graders and even upper elementary for those who are maybe not reading at grade level. These cards are pretty durable, and should last me for years.

Stories are short, so engaging for a young reader, a child with ADHD, or a child that has difficulty with reading comprehension. I like the fact that each card has a picture so it captures a child’s attention right away. The font is a good size and easy to read.

Great product. Students enjoyed using them in flashcard races on game day. Easy enough to make it more challenging by telling kids to back their answer with text evidence and background knowledge. The pictures at the top helped the little focus on the main idea of the text, but in some cases made the answers a little too obvious for later in the year. Successfully used at the end of the year for my kindergarten kiddos who loved playing "first grade games"

I use these for small group activities and Bell ringers.
