SUPER FUN MANIA
WWEWRESTLEMANIA 311.[TAG TITLES]TYSON KIDD & CESARO VS LOS MADADORES VS THE USOS VS THE NEW DAY-first off this opening match was excellent as all the teams looked great here. Also I love going back and seeing how the fans were not about The New Day at all, now New Day is one of the hottest merch sellers in the company. There is so much action here including from the people not legally in the match. There are so many super fun spots in this match. The crowd was alive during this match and really enjoyed it and went crazy when Cesaro and Kidd retained the titles. This was an EXCELLENT opening match for the card.2.ANDRE THE GIANT MEMORIAL BATTLE ROYAL-another fun match and I love battle royals. The crowd was all about Axelmania running wild and booed so loud when he was eliminated. The match is fun and fast paced with the Big Show winning after last eliminating Mizdow after he turns on The Miz.3.I-C TITLE LADDER MATCH]BAD NEWS BARRETT VS DEAN AMBROSE VS DANIEL BRYAN VS DOLPH ZIGGLER VS STARDUST VS R-TRUTH VS LUKE HARPER-this match was of course a wild one as these ladder matches always are, especially at Wrestlemania. There are various high spots and moments that are more than memorable. Everyone here performs at the highest level and even get air time [as in the air] including Harper. Great fast paced action that ends with Bryan winning the title with the crowd going crazy.4.SETH ROLLINS VS RANDY ORTON-this was a really good match between these two that at the time I didn’t understand. I thought for sure that Seth should have won but we would see why that wasn’t the case later. Good back and forth action that sees Randy win after a phenomenal RKO out of the curb stomp. This was one of the best endings to a match of the entire night.5.[NO DQ MATCH]STING VS TRIPLE H-the match that I was most looking forward to that night, as was everyone else. I was so excited to see Sting back in the ring and for the first time in WWE. The match kinda had the feeling of The rock versus Hogan from back in the day. This was two legends going at it and the crowd plus the drama made this match one of the best of the night. I enjoyed all of DX [including the greatest ever and my personal favorite Shawn Michaels] and the NWO getting involved. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the ending. Triple H really needed to lose this match. The story would have made more sense with Sting going over. Anyway Triple H gets the win here.6.AJ LEE & PAIGE VS THE BELLAS-this was a good women’s tag match with the right team taking the win right here. Paige and AJ take the win here and I remember being so happy when they did as I couldn’t stand the Bellas. Good match over all though and goo performances from all four.7.[US TITLE]RUSEV VS JOHN CENA-this was a hard hitting match for the U.S. title and much better than people give it credit for. Rusev looked great almost beating Cena and I still think he should have but I see what they wanted here. It was the same reason they gave Bryan the I-C title earlier. Any way even Cena stepped his game up including hitting that great stunner. He gets the win here after Rusev accidently runs into Lana.It is here that we get the interaction between Steph, Hunter, The Rock and Ronda Rousey which was the set up for when Ronda would join the WWE years later.8.THE UNDERTAKER VS BRAY WYATT-this was the other match I was really looking forward to. Taker of course is one of my all time favorites and I love Bray so I was really into this. I also believed and still do that this match was one year to late. This should have been the match that Undertaker lost his streak in. it should have been Taker putting over a full timer, Bray Wyatt. Anyway this is a great match and another hard hitting high impact match like the previous one. There are plenty of near falls even after each hits their finish on the other. My favorite part of this match is when Wyatt does his spider crawl thing and Taker rises up. Taker gets the win after hitting one last tombstone.9.[WWE TITLE]BROCK LESNAR VS ROMAN REIGNS-this was the match in which everyone was sure that Roman was going to beat Lesnar and become the chosen one. Now while he is actually the chosen one from Vinnie Mac it just wasn’t meant to be yet. These two go at each other hard. Much like the previous two bouts but more intense as Reigns goes for many rides in suplex city. Roman has his moments but when both men are laid out Rollins hits the ring to cash in his MITB briefcase. He gets the win stealing the title in the most surprising cash in ever. I loved the ending here as did the crowd, loved it.You get some good stuff on the Blu-Ray including the previous nights Hall of Fame Ceremony. Over all this was a great event and one of the best Mania’s ever.

The Fall to Mediocrity
This year's WrestleMania has less going for it than last year and the ppv continues to fall from must see to just rent it. This became available on dvd and instant video a month ago (rental just recently) so like many others read the reviews and decided to rent it. The match card seemed interesting. The first match was the ladder match for the intercontinental title which is fine for those that like those kind of matches. Too many laughable moments such as Bryan and Ziggler headbutt fight on top of ladder. Winner: Daniel Bryan which everyone expected. Match rating- 3/5 and can be skipped.Orton v. Rollins could very well have been a Raw main event but was saved for this to give it more pop. The mat work was good and the last few minutes really showed Orton is a better wrestler than Rollins. Winner: Orton. Match rating 3.5Oh my. Now for the Sting v. Triple H segment. First off, the entrance of Triple H has got to be seen to be believed. He comes out as a Terminator with an endorsement from Arnold himself. Okay, that was entertaining but in a WTF way that may have sounded good on paper but came off in a different way. The match itself was okay but clearly Sting's day in sports entertainment is done. Both men were not as they once were and it would have been unlikely this match would have happened anywhere else but at WrestleMania. The interference from DX and Nwo was akin to two aging gangs from rival nursing homes. Good for nostalgic purposes but really good for laughs. Winner: Triple H (by use of hammer) and they shake hands and we all wave goodbye. Match rating 2 because to be honest not much wrestling happened. Now for the good stuff. The divas tag match had AJ Lee and Paige squaring off against the Bella Twins. The women's matches don't get enough recognition. Paige held her own against both Brie and Nikki when AJ was incapacitated. The wrestling was good and no fake slaps that are often seen on tv. This was a match that could easily been twice as long and would have carried the momentum. Winners: AJ and Paige Match rating 4/5.The next match was the real main event, Cena vs. Rusev for the US title. Rusev was the clearly dominant force as always with Cena being the underdog that never gives up (as always). At least Cena tries a new maneuver, a springboard stunner. The only downside was how many times Cena managed to kick out. No way anyone can sell that believably. Having Cena win because he set Rusev up to hit Lana by accident was unworthy. Understand that the match was basically US vs. Russia so no way but Cena to regain the US title but clearly Rusev is the better athlete and would have made fans stunned by retaining the title. Winner: Cena. Match rating 5/5.The final two matches. Bray Wyatt v. Undertaker. This was only so Taker can retire with a win if he wants to. After last years ending of the streak nothing on the line here. He is showing signs of age no matter what the commentators say of his form. For him to have so much trouble putting the former husky harris away was almost painful to watch. Undertaker needs to retire. Wyatt is hard to take seriously as well. Winner: Undertaker Match rating 2/5 for not being wrestlemania material.Brock Lesnar v. Roman Reigns for the WWE World Title. After months of building up Reigns as someone that could beat Lesnar for the title what happens? A squash match that portays Lesnar as an unstoppable Ultraman and Reigns as someone that just laughs when he gets beaten up. Even when Roman manages to rally and hits Brock with multiple super-punches the match seems too staged. Roman Reigns has taken on many opponents and won. Brock Lesnar is not invulnable and any credibility is lost when these type of matches occur. The fact that Seth Rollins cashed in and made it a triple threat only made this main event even more sour. Winner: Rollins / Loser: the fans. Match rating 1/5.Final note- the 30 minute segment following the US title match has the Rock talking smack to Triple H and Stephanie and getting backup from UFC fighter Roussey. Could not believe it went on and on and on for so long. All told this year's Main Event of wrestling had a lot of hype but the substance wasn't there. Three stars overall and recommend as rental because nothing really to keep here.

The Last Great Wrestlemania!!
I was impressed with this DVD set. I actually enjoyed watching Wrestlemania 31 and I remembered everything that happened in this PPV event. Especially John Cena vs. Rusev for the U.S. Championship, Daniel Bryan winning the Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match, Triple H vs. Sting (in his first-ever WWE PPV debut match), Dwanye "The Rock" Johnson calling out Ronda Rousey to put Stephanie McMahon in an arm-lock and Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to become the new WWE Champion. Perfectly-paced and well-booked.5/5 stars. I highly recommend it.

WWE wrestlemania 31 is WWES best pay per view of 2015 so if your a fan of wrestling you can't miss it
WWE wrestlemania 31 is the best pay per view so far that i had bought on either DVD or blu ray now you can't miss this if you didn't see it yet. Now it came out May 5 th and i ordered it so i would have it the day it came out.the first match is for the ic title. which we all know you won that but the match i liked the most was triple h vs. sting now I'm a big fan of sting because i after wcw i watched him on tna impact wrestling. plus during the match they also had a fued between degeneration x and the nwo. plus the main event is a good one to between Roman reigns and Brock Lesner. But Seth Rollins shouldn't be the chapion and i will let you watch it and see for yourself why.

If You Have The Others, Get This At the Right Price
Not the pageantry and celebrity that I loved from the first ten Wrestlemanias, but if you have all the previous ones, you won't want to break up the set. I hated how the main event ended, and I didn't see if other reviewers spoiled that. I won't. Even without Hollywood showing up, or great entourages with the wrestlers, there is a lot of exciting action here. I did buy it to keep my set complete of all Wrestlemanias, but it was worth having as pure entertainment, too.

Better than expected
Wrestlemania 31 had perhaps one of the weakest build ups for a Wrestlemania ever - heading into it with low expectations, the show itself actually exceeded them for me. The impressive (if sometimes ridiculous) production values, the big show atmosphere and the hard work of most of the in ring performers made it a decent event. Not classic but decent. As is customary these days with the Blu Ray release, you get the full show on disc one and the Hall of Fame on disc two. Two matches from the kick off show are thrown in as usual but there's not much more of note. I've listed the card and the extras below with a few comments....Daniel Bryan v Bad News Barrett v Dolph Ziggler v Stardust v Luke Harper v R-Truth v Dean Ambrose - IC Title - Ladder Match - No messing about, straight to the good stuff. A typically energetic, big bumping, multi man ladder match with most getting their own little chance to shine. A fun and popular way to kick things off.Seth Rollins v Randy Orton - Enjoyable effort from these two, not exactly a show stealer but good solid stuff with an inspired ending.Sting v Triple H - Mixed feelings about this one. Not how I expected it to go down and I'm not convinced the result is exactly best for business (you won the Monday Night War boys, get over it). The run ins and add ons are kind of fun though so perhaps it's best not to overthink it. The less said about Trippers entrance, the better.Paige & AJ Lee v The Bella Twins - Pretty routine tag match, not much to see or say here.Rusev v John Cena - US Title - Just when you thought Triple H had tied up the award for most ridiculous entrance of the night, Rusev rolls up in a tank. Like with the IC strap earlier it's an interesting effort from WWE to try and make the secondary titles seem relevant again. The match itself is good enough despite the eye rolling predictability of it all.Next up is an in ring segment where Steph and Triple H come out for a bit of gloating before they're joined by The Rock (!) and then Ronda Rousey (!?). It's a bit of a laugh and gets a good reaction but it does run a bit long at over 20 minutes.Bray Wyatt v Undertaker - Maybe it's because the streaks no longer on the line, maybe it's because Bray isn't quite capturing the imagination like he was a year before or maybe it's the bright, broad daylight setting but this doesn't have quite the magic it may have had at a previous Wrestlemania. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, it has its moments and a strong finishing sequence.Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar - WWE Title - They tried long and hard to get Roman over with the hardcore fans. Didn't work did it? He gets booed out of the arena here even though, to be fair, he enters a suitably spirited display as Brocks punching bag. It's one of the stranger Wrestlemania main events but I think it works - aided largely by the twist in the tale.Kick Off Show - The Usos v Los Matadores v Tyson Kidd & Cesaro v New Day - Tag Titles - A chaotic, fast paced slice of carnage. Almost everybody manages to squeeze in their big spots and it certainly warmed the crowd up. Job done.Kick Off Show - Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal - Some of the talent seems wasted here but despite it all, there's still a guilty pleasure element to Battle Royals somehow. Most notable here is the break up of The Miz and Mizdow which gets a huge pop from the crowd. Then there's the eventual, tiresome conclusion. Which doesn't.Hall of Fame - Kevin Nash, Tatsumi Fujinami, Alundra Blayze, The Bushwhackers, Larry Zbyszko, Connor The Crusher, Rikishi, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Randy Savage are the inductees this year. The induction of Macho (accepted on his behalf by brother Lanny) was the highlight for me in a show that runs for nearly four hours. He probably should have been the headline act but such is life - that honour went to Kevin Nash this time out.You also get four short promos on Cena, Rollins, Lesnar and Bryan. The Lesnar and Bryan ones are Blu Ray exclusive and represent the only Blu exclusive material on the set.And that's that. Roll on Wrestlemania 32........
