Great for healing

I had a spill and scraped up my knees pretty badly. It was hard to figure out what kind of bandage to put on them and then I came across these. I was skeptical but I knew how hydrocolloid work and needed something on the larger size to cover the entire wound. I was able to get them delivered same day and it took a bit of trial and error to remove the bandage from the backing and then figure out the best placement, but it worked.I only used it on my left knee, and used the typical fabric bandage on my right, and a few hours later, the hydrocolloid gel was working as it started to puff up, but I noticed I felt a burning sensation with my right knee (like a fresh tattoo burns) that I didn't feel with my left. I replaced the bandage on it with a hydrocolloid one too and the burning feeling went away in an hour.I did have to change out the bandage on my left knee as there was seepage since the exudate was spreading to the edge of the bandage. It was tricky removing it, and you have to be especially careful not to tug/pull or you can disturb the wound and its healing as it is sticky. But it's worth it for what it does by keeping the wound protected and the best part is that it is completely waterproof! I've been able to keep the same bandages on for 4 straight days so far, and it can be kept on for up to 7 days, but I feel I should change them out.

This helps only if you have a recent surgery with stiches/staples removed and are really eager to jump in a swimming pool or ocean. I had a recent C-section on april 26 and I used it on june 7th on a beach trip. The adhesion wasn't great, the corners kept standing up or curling in and the package says that once the "antibiotic" thingy wears of, you'll see a blue or white line. I saw no such thing. It is a GREAT piece of silicone cover for your wounds and to go swimming.

I have used this product multiple times in the past. They work very well for subcutaneous scrapes. A family member has very thin skin and these bandages take care of most problems.

I scrapped my knee something good!!! Took over a month for it to heal. The scrap was very large and covered almost my entire surface area of my knee. For about 2 weeks I tried the traditional bandages, letting it breath and all of the kind of stuff. It was not healing mainly because the bandages were scratching up against the wound and reinjuring it constantly. I could hardly move my knee and it was becoming very frustrating.I found these and smacked one on. I was able to move my knee much more freely and I immediately felt it healing much faster than the traditional methods. I did shower with it but it is not the best when it comes to being waterproof. I ended up taping saran wrap to my knee to keep it water free and that seemed to do the trick.Removal was tough!!!! I highly recommend doing it in the shower, grabbing an edge, and allowing the water to do most of the work. It takes a few mins. Apply a small amount of pull to it with the water hitting the bandage where you a pulling it up (the inner side of the bandage...you may get your wound wet but it works!). It may take a few minutes to come off.I had to wear them for about 2 weeks and each bandage lasted, on average, about 4 days.

It definitely sped up the healing process and protected my stitches for a quicker healing process and could wear in the shower and it would last for over a week

Absorbs some moisture. Does not adhere well to skin even with bandage wrap due to moisture so need to change bandage during night or just before going out as it will curl, itch and bunch up. Less expensive than medical supply places. Needs to have capacity to absorb more fluid than just for a couple hours.
