Huge difference in sweat retention vs regular denim jeans
I wasn't sure just how big a difference these would make for me. I mainly bought them because I've worn jeans all my life when working outside, and in the 100+ degree heat and very high humidity where I live, your entire lower body becomes a sweat cesspit very quickly when you're outdoors, even if you're not really doing anything strenuous.I hate having sweaty, soggy pants and undergarments for hours after getting out of the heat, so I decided to give these a shot.I am elated to report that they really do reduce the sweatiness. I don't know if it's because you simply sweat less because the material is thinner, lighter and better-breathing, or if it's the special "moisture wicking technology" or whatever, but what I do know is that it makes a huge difference, regardless of how it works. If you're looking for pants that help to keep the sweat down, look no further! (Or keep looking at other brands making the same sort of product, I suppose)Okay, so now that my personal main reason for getting these is verified and out of the way, I'll talk about other factors. The material is NOT stretchy. AT ALL. If you like pants with a little bit of give to the material, I recommend looking at the other type of pants they offer which feature more pliability instead of the stain-resistant "tech" this product features.I find that the crotch area is just a bit too tight. If you try to spread out your legs at all, you'll find the material across the top of your thighs becomes tight. It isn't a deal-breaker by any means, but if you need to be doing a lot of contorting, these might not be the best for that. They are pretty loose (in a good way) everywhere else, though.I appreciate the double-stitching featured everywhere. Hopefully it will help these pants hold up over time. I've got pairs of jeans that I've been wearing for over a decade and are still going strong, so I'm really hoping that these pants have a decent lifespan as well, especially for the price. The zipper is nice and solid, doesn't feel cheap and easily breakable. I wish the velcro pads on the pockets were larger, preferably one single strip, but they function alright. They're also stitched on nice and tight. The color is nice. I got the darker brown ones (I don't recall the exact color name). In the end, they're pants. For nearly $50, my main concern is that they last. If they have problems in the future, I'll be sure to update this review.

Good Pant but Very Poor Sizing
I've never purchased a Carhartt pant before and, due to it's reputation as a well-designed long-lasting functional product, I decided to give this line of garments a try. Upon delivery, which was via Sure Post (the slowest of delivery options), I inspected this pant. Nice looking it was, and functional, with the assorted various pockets and such. Made in China (nothing against the Chinese, but for the price I paid, I would have rather them have been made in the USA) and a few restrictions in washing/drying (no fabric softener, low heat) kind of softened my initial excitement upon receiving them. These weren't enough to reduce my evaluation of this product however. What reduced my evaluation from a five-star to a four-star level was the sizing. Chinese garments (I've purchased a few) seem sized a bit smaller than what we see in American sizes, meaning a size 36 waist in China is not the same size, a bit smaller, than a size 36 in America, or so it has been my experience from various garment purchases from China. Anyway, I couldn't even come close to putting this 'size 36' pant on as it was at least two sizes too small. All my other size 36 pants fit well or fit a little tight, but I can get into them at least. Guess I'll have to save this pant until I lose a few inches in the waist or save it for someone who can get into it, as the bother of trying to re-sent this product and get a new one seems more trouble than it would be worth. I like the Carhartt Force t-shirt that I earlier received (which led me to buying the pant). It's size, design, and durability were most excellent. I'll probably try to re-order the same pant in a size 38, and hope that it fits. Bottom line - good pant, but very poor sizing.Update. Ordered this pant in a waist size 38 to fit my actual waist size of 36. Fit perfectly. So buyers of waist size 36 ... buy this pant in a 38 to fit perfectly. In all other aspects, a great pant!

A bit thin, but seems good.
This is not the thick canvas carhartt. Great for hot days. A bit of extra room in the legs, and thigh. Needed if stepping up or down out of normal comfort range, without feeling like a impending crotch blowout. Not for thick briars or barbed wire. These are much thinner, and seem to breath a bit. Not water resistant. And blood will stain them. My first day wearing them, I caught a thick wire in the forearm. Didn't know I was bleeding until it was on my thigh.I do all sorts of construction. So I like cargos.I like the pockets, and extra little pockets in the cargo. Even had a small zipper pocket on the right cargo.I can carry a 16.9oz water, wallet, phone, earbud case, 2 pair of gloves, a stick ruler, neck gator and 2 bandana's with room to spare.Looking for a semi tough work plant, with plenty pockets, this may be a good choice for a premium price.I hope the last a few years.

Gut aber nicht perfekt
Qualität ist top. Die Hose sitzt jedoch nicht so gut und fühlt sich auch nicht so mega an beim tragen.

Excellent work pants - UPDATE
UPDATEThe tool pockets outside the left cargo pocket have worn through, so now I'm back to belt holsters.==================Love these pants. Plenty of pockets for carrying tools, etc. I was able to take some tool holsters off my belt and use the pants pockets.Stains, including ink have washed right out of them. The rip stop construction has kept a tear small, rather than letting it grow.I did find they fit a wee bit smaller, compared to a pair of jeans in the same size, but it doesn't make them unwearable for me.

Fit is comfortable. I'm 5' 11" and 180 lbs and 34x32 ...
Second pair of these. Wore the first ones into the ground. Lasted very well. I work in the oil field and construction industry and these plants held up well. Fit is comfortable. I'm 5' 11" and 180 lbs and 34x32 fir perfectly with a belt. Good # of belt loops. I hate it when work pants don't have enough belt loops. Very functional cargo pockets. I like how they are velcro - buttons and snaps take longer to open and close. The velcro lasted very well (better than expected) and I never had a problem with them. First thing to wear out were the knees. Two years of hard work.Recommended

Summer pants
I bought these at the same time as some harder wearing trousers. These are a lighter material, meaning they aren't as heavy and not as warm, certainly better as the world weather changes due to climate change.I will certainly buy these again.
