It goes on super smooth and blends in extremely well. Your face will love you! This Cover Girl + Olay Facelift Effect Firming Makeup lives up to its name. will order again!
I was worried about what the package may look like when it arrived after reading reviews, arrived on time and in perfect condition. That's not why I'm reordering though! This is amazing. I have blotchy, dry skin with acne scars and fine lines and undereye bags, wrinkles and dark circles. I use less foundation than normal, concealer like coverage, and my face literally feels tighter. I never find that good makeup so stoked about this.

This is working great for my dry skin
While my skin is dry, my nose is not. I've been looking for a new foundation for about 3 years now, keep going to back to Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus. But I've found the CG not only stays on better, I only have to powder my nose once a day with it. The Clinique also settles into my wrinkles much more than this one. I'm using the same amount of moisturizer for all the foundations I've tried, and I also use loose powder to set. I work 10 - 12 hour shifts so I need something that will last all day, but not make my face look older than the 55 years that it is! I use shade 1 in the Clinique, and the Light 330 in the CG.I'm on my third jar, & really glad I found this. I haven't noticed any face lifting effects, but it does have great coverage and staying power.

Awful
I bought this foundation for my mother in October . I'm sad to say neither of us liked it. I bought the shade fair and it was too light for her and just washed her face out. It is easy enough to blend out but feels AWFUL on the skin. I tried it and could feel lt tightening and drying out my skin. It gives you the feeling that you want to wash your face to get rid of that cakey feeling. I needed a little extra coverage in a couple places But applying a tiny bit more just left thick cakey areas. I don't even think they make this foundation anymore so I'm sure I must have got an out of date product. Just skip this one, any other foundation would be better.

Runs Light. My Sensitive skin QUICKLY reacted to this. (I hate it; mom loves it.)
My sensitive skin reacted badly to this. And overall, I don't think this texture was suited to the finish I wanted. The shade (light) is indeed quite pale, and a bit on the cool side. Because sensitivity won't be an issue for everyone, I've broken my review into two parts. One on the Reaction and a second about the Product color, coverage, packaging, and texture. If your skin isn't reactive (lucky you), skip to the second portion.ABOUT THE REACTION. I have really sensitive skin. So, my skin is sort of an unfair test to determine the wearability of a foundation. Still, I was able to tolerate this one on for about two hours before finally taking it off (no burning, it just wasn't comfortable) and after it was removed my face was unusually red and also had a few break outs. Some rose water toner helped to soothe away the irritation. So, this one's not for me.Skin sensitivities and allergies vary from person to person, so my unwearables may be another person's favorites and vice versa. So, I thought I would list a few brands (higher end and drug store as well) well to help another Sensitives gage whether our sensitivities were in sync. I've never actually had a good face product experience with CoverGirl, but I also haven't tried this brand frequently enough to establish a pattern, but I think they may have just earned their spot on my avoid list. In terms of drug store, I can usually wear (comfortwise) Maybelline and Physician's Formula. I can't recall a reaction to a product from either line. I'm also having good experience with the Bourjois line, which is new to me. I've had no major successes with any other drug store brands. I have tried both L'Oreal and Revlon foundations extensively, and I've simply come to the conclusion that EVERY foundation from either of those lines will break me out (sad, since both lines have some good products, if I wasn't allergic to them). I've had other reactions to other brands that I have tried less extensively. In terms of high end, Estee Lauder always feels comfortable, and I've had mostly good comfortable skin experiences with Lancôme (ironic since that one is a Loreal brand), MAC breaks me out (although it's an Estee Lauder brand), and (ironically) I've had really mixed experiences with Clinique products (thought I think that last one may be due to pour recommendations at the counter). Clarins, MAC, and Elizabeth Arden break me out. I could add to the list, but I'm limiting it to brands I've tried extensively.Unable to wear this, I passed this on to my mother (who typically can use Olay products but typically cannot wear Covergirl). She had no reactions and actually likes it a lot.ABOUT THE FOUNDATIONI really want to like these cream formulas. I like the idea of something whipped and soft and not fully liquid. However, I've yet to find one that can be applied very sheerly without looking broken up on the skin. If you want to build up about a medium coverage the foundation will look smoother, but the color match wasn't really good enough to try that. It felt silky and really did seem to sit across the skin rather than melt into it. I suppose this is part of the "facelift" effect it's going for, but that meant that with only a sheer coverage, it didn't look even. So expect to need a medium application of this (which you may prefer anyway). I don't think this would provide a full coverage. The color is somewhat...like a milky pink-apricot. Not completely pink, but sort of. At any rate it wasn't yellow and it wasn't warm, but I'm undecided as to whether it was neutral or not. Somewhere between cool and neutral, I suppose. So, if those are your skin tones it would match. The foundation feels whipped, it's very lightweight. It reminded me of a lighter version of the Revlon Whipped that everyone loved a few years ago. Its the consistency of a Wendy's Frosty or maybe toward chocolate mousse.I don't care for the packaging. The product sits in peaks (like a merengue on a pie) so picking it up with a stipple brush isn't an option (you won't be getting an even scatter of product), so you will need fingers. It's messy.I didn't wear it long enough to know about it's wearability. It wasn't drying, but also wasn't hydrating. Felt almost as it if was floating on the skin. Lightweight, but never felt like it set.I think these run light. The consistency and packaging weren't deal breakers for me (and didn't cost it more than a star), but shade wasn't working. This only comes in six colors, so I don't know if the next up would suit or be too dark. But the shade range is small. My skin in on the dividing point between actually Light and Light-Medium. If you're also in the "between shades" zone, I think I would go up not down.Unable to wear this, I passed it on to my mother rather than simply toss it. She's very fair, but with neutral (not cool) undertones, and skin that is typically sensitive. (She typically cannot wear this brand.) She loved it, found it comfortable, and has been receiving many compliments on her skin. She's not a fan of the packaging either, but (like me) finds that overlookable when the product works well. Her skin is combo and probably less dry than mine, though more mature.

Will order again. Nice foundation.
A nice ivory colour on the fair type. Good coverage. Good value price. I do have to reapply, but only after maybe 6 hours of wear. Skin looks fresh and smooth. Will order again! Mrs K

An Excellent Foundation for the Cost!
I've been looking for a foundation for my combination skin type. This is great! I use it with the Simply Ageless power and it works so good together. Highly recommend!
