Spirit Horses

Some of the photography of the horses is breath taking. And you can see the "Spirit" of the horses the photographer is trying to capture. But I was very frustrated with most of the photos being blurred which didn't appear like an expression of beautiful photography. And the use of adobe photoshop to change the pictures into a sepia tone in the background does nothing to enhance the work. Although he has shown talent in this photography and in previous photography books, I would not recommend this book to buy.

Beautiful photographs of horses.

This book is beautiful. Mr. Stromberg has truly managed to capture the spirit of horses with his camera, and the results are stunning. My mom was over when I opened the package and every page we turned we both said "ohhh" because honestly, every photo is just that perfect. If you love horses or even just photography I highly recommend this book. But don't be surprised if you're not a horse lover before getting this, that you're converted after!

We bought this for a gift for a friend who loves horseback riding. It has great photos and definitely shows the different 'spirits' of horses. I had no idea there was such divesity in horses, so great for a non-horse-lover, and a great gift for a horse lover too. It's maybe a bit smaller than a traditional coffee table book though.

Beautiful, at times ethereal photography of these wild, warm, wonderful creatures. Very sensitively done!

This will now be my SECOND "Spirit Of Horses" calendar...besides beingborn with a passion for horses, I have been blessed with seven of myown spirited wonders through the years. Never have I seen the essence of the spirit of the horse captured on paper the way Mr. Stromberg does so eloquently in his work. If you love horses, you will treasure this too!

The photos are wonderful and it came in good shape it is a bit larger than I would have liked for my office so has not made it off the kitchen counter. ;(

This is a truly beautiful book. The photography is absolutely stunning, and this made a wonderful gift for a friend who is an avid horse lover. She was thrilled with the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in horses and/or photography.

This book and "Forgotten Horses" by Tony Stromberg are two of the best I've ever seen for showing horses as they really are. Wonderful, atmospheric photography.

This calendar is full of beautiful pictures of horses. I really love it!! I will look out for it again for next year.

Overall pleased with this, although a couple of the pictures are not great, lovely quotes on every month which is a nice touch.

We gave this book to a horse-loving friend for her 50th birthday. She was over-awed by the photographs and says she still wells up when she looks at them. It is a truly uplifting and moving book
