I've had a lot of trouble with the power cord that comes with the SurfacePro. It frays at the attachment to the AC transformer. On my last model, I went through more than three power cords over the life of the computer. This cord design actually seems more durable. I hope so, but so far so good! I also like the velcro cord strap that keeps it all coiled in my backpack. I'd still recommend putting the whole thing in a container of some sort (at least a ziplock bag) for extra protection. I'm pretty rough on things and I still worry these think cords with their plastic attachments might break over time.

I was looking to replace a standard power cord that failed out of warranty and found Microsoft's offering a little too pricy for easy comfort. So I gave this one a try. After a few weeks, I'm happy with it. The plug prongs aren't folding but for me that was never a priority. The plastic housing is solid, the connector slots in well to the surface, and it charges perfectly fine. The indicator light is also in a better position for my case (facing straight out). I can't say yet if it will outlast the original but so far I don't have reason to believe it won't. Overall, good replacement.

My Surface Go didn't even notice the difference between the original cord and this one. The longer cable means I can plug in from my seat at the gaming table. For travek, the fixed prongs are worrisome but I have a prong cover somewhere to shield them and my carry case from them .

I had a problem with the first one I bought. After about a month or two of use the end fell apart. I bought another and so far it's been great. It's the length I needed.

This product is so good and so reasonable that I bought a second one to leave plugged in. The rather short and strange proprietary plug for surface go is sometimes a problem. The extra length is very helpful.

This is a a perfect extra cord for my Surface Go.I have not had any problems with it and would definitely order it again should the need arise.

Within 5 seconds of connecting charger to my daughters tablet the charger started buzzing and felt extremely hot! I took it out of the outlet it was in and tried 3 more outlets, all with the same result. I'm so glad I stayed in the room when I initially plugged it up instead of leaving to do other things as I always do while my devices charge. As hot as the charger got in that short amount of time and the electrical current causing the buzzing I know we would have had an electrical fire or a blown Fuse in no time. FAULTY DANGEROUS PRODUCT. DONT BUY!!!!

It was great to have for my newer surface go. The cord was a bit longer and nice to be able to keep my old surface go running.
