Be warned. This stuff looks like absolute sh*t when you put it on. It looks like it's totally applying unevenly, and smells funky. But it is made up of totally natural product, so you need to get over your lifetime of those nasty chemical products that look great when it goes on but god knows what it's doing to the rest of your body. Once you get over your freak-on of how it first looks, you will shortly realize that it blends nicely onto your skin, and eventually look like nothing's on. No white zinc-y ashy look. For real. I purchased this item b/c I was going to Mexico (Riviera Maya) and may places actually shake you down and make sure (for the fragile environment) that your sunscreen is biodegradable (which this one is) and made up of all natural stuff.It then dawned on me that if a government doesn't want chemical sunscreens in their water then why would I put in on my body??? So I had my kids use it, regardless if we were in the nature reserves or the hotel swimming pool.

Be careful when you open the bottle because it's more watery than even chemical sunscreens. Shake it well. When you apply it, the consistency is like watery lotion, and after rubbing it it gets more difficult to spread. It does leave the white cast, but it's less than those other physical sunscreens I've tried and after some 10 minutes that cast isn't too noticeable. I have a few cons for people who aren't used to physical sunscreens like this one. (I don't mind the cons because I'm used to dealing with gross, smelly, thick sunscreens that rub on white and stay white). First off, there is a smell. It's almost like tomatoes sitting out in the sun. I know some people are going to hate that, so please be aware of it. Second, after applying it, it does look a little greasy, probably not a big deal if it's on your body. And lastly the white sheen. You won't escape it, but once again, it's the lightest I've ever had to deal with. Great for me!

Do not buy. This sunscreen is horrible. It goes on white and remains white …doesn’t rub in. When you shower it doesn’t come off for days.

We bought this natural sunscreen for a trip to Mexico. We knew we would be swimming in the cenotes and wanted something safe for ourselves and the wildlife. I feel as though this sunscreen works. I wore it all over and never burned, though I did tan some (but I tan super easily). It didn't sting at any point, which will happen to my face with some lower quality sunscreens. However, I took off 1 star because of the white cast it leaves behind. No matter where I put it, or how little I used, or how much I rubbed, I always had a white cast on my face or body. I know I'm being vain, but it's just not attractive. So for doing its job, 5 stars. For not making me pretty, 4 stars.

This sunscreen is one of the only one that checks all of our ecological and skincare criteria. Most sunscreens make my daughter's skin break out but this one does not. Warning that it is quite runny though.

The produce goes on a bit thick and leaves an uneven white, lumpy, streaky coating. Tried squeezing the container to mix it better before applying, but that doesn't seem to help much. On the plus side, I have allergies and I'm not reacting to it.

very light clean fresh natural scent. Even though ALL products that have zinc type sunscreen turn you white...this lotion was only VERY faintly white on application and it rubbed in very well so no "clown white" skin color.

I spent a lot of time researching sun screens and I am happy with my choice. Have peace of mind knowing it has a good rating with the EWG and I like that its not thick and it has a pleasant aroma. Not too pricey either. Good value.
