After my cats $1300 hairball...
So, I have a large, long-haired cat who will hide from a brush like nobody's business. A couple of weeks ago, he started vomiting, then panting, then got super foamy, and i thought he was going to die. $1300 in blood work and xrays later, I had a very healthy cat with a very large and mysterious blockage in his esophagus. They wanted to do surgery. Now he's a Colorado cat in California heat and since he wasn't foaming anymore, I decided to take him home and see what I could do. Smeared some of this on his paw, and over the next 48 hrs I developed a healthy new respect for the burden of being a cat. I'm tempted to upload photos. I think this stuff is supposed to wrap swallowed fur in gel so it goes down and out vs up and out, but Cinco didn't get the memo. Instead, I've seen things come up and out like I've never imagined was possible. Truly impressive. My little brown tabby also loves it with equally impressive results. EDIT : Someone mentions that this gets hard in the tube and I did have a similar issue in that the tube opening did become impacted. Ultimately, I cut a corner of the end of tube and the paste was fine and usable, but it was a little annoying.

Very Bad
I don't know about the taste, but the product itself is very poor quality! After using it twice, the plastic on the door of the product was torn. I'm currently keeping the product in the package. The visible cat-shaped plasma is torn.

My cat is weird about it
My cat is weird and sometimes she loves it, sometimes she hates it. When she loves it, she is eager to eat it, so I assume the flavour is good, though I saw no improvement in the hairball situation. It might be though because she wasn’t taking it consistently

Excellent for picky cats
I have a too picky persian cat who doesn't even like some treats!! But he loves this product. Every time, we're only feed him by few amount of this thick paste. As size as 2-3 beans are enough for every week to avoid any hairball. My cat is using this kind odd products, paste ones, sincere his birth and he never had any hairball issue.

Paste hardens inside tube, rendering it useless
I was excited to find this product in place of a paste I'd gotten and used for years from Europe that I could not find here in the US. At first, all seemed great, I have always mixed it up with wet food and my kitty ate it happily. But twice in a row, I am about 2/3 of the way through the tube and it becomes like cement in the tube, so can no longer squeeze it out and I end up throwing it away, losing 1/3 of the product. I don't know if it's that the oily part separates and comes out with the first uses, leaving the rest too thick to come out of the tube but it's extremely frustrating to spend the money and lose that much of it. Won't use this again.

The worst malt paste I have ever used in 20 years
It's the first time a see a case running away from malt. Never ever, in my life, I have seen this... and I have had several (more than 10 cats) in my life, variety of breeds. My cat started puking the second day, and then diarrhea came. I stopped giving it to her and problem solved. Sorry, it didn't work here.
