High Tide At Noon [DVD]

Great film in it's day. It arrived very quickly and packaged well

Excellent 1950's drama from the Rank Studios. I particularly enjoyed the brooding character played by Patrick McGoohan in one of his early roles as the rejected lover. Excellent direction by Philip Leacock. Very good transfer of both sound and picture.

I was looking forward to this as i'm a fan of MICHAEL CRAIG & PATRICK McGOOHAN but this was disappointing and ponderous .I found little sympathy with the characters and the accents were strangely varied with little attempt at authentic Nova Scotia .It may sound harsh but you can see why it's taken 70 years to eventually appear on home video / dvd !Decent picture and Sound quality .
