This tool is well made and very easy to use. The properties that I maintain have tons of push-to-connect fittings, so I've had to fight with disconnect tongs and release clips for years. This makes the job go faster and much easier with less effort to pull the connections apart than I have ever experienced before. All of my coworkers want a pair since they've tried mine. Money well spent!

Great tool and easy to use. Too many parts to lose, so it needs a case. It should not be black, black tools are easy to loose in dark spaces where pipes run! No case and black is why it looses one star.

I used this tool today for the first time to disconnect some 3/4 inch Sharkbite fittings on a project I'm doing. It works. Fit it properly and give it a good squeeze and pull the tubing and it will come out. That's all you need to know. It is very well made and it was indispensable on this job. If you're working with Sharkbites, get one. You'll be glad you did.

Used to remove a 3/4" shark bite fitting - the fitting was overhead, surrounded on its sides by other copper tubings and very close to the ceiling & basement wall. Used a plastic tie to prevent the tool from falling and that allowed bothhands to separate the connection. The ratcheting function of the tool kept squeezing the fitting's release function. The tool worked great for me.

Quality could be better but it does the job with some difficulty. Interchangeable fitting size plates would be useful if they stayed in place. also are easily lost if not paying attention. When plates are secured within tool, They work relatively well with some minor adjustments. Not recommended as a daily work tool, but home DIY'er will get some use out of them.

I bought another style of this directly from another website for over twice the price. I was not satisfied, it was harder to use than those little clips that come for free in the package of fittings. So I decided let's give this a shot. I LOVE IT! So easy to use, stays locked in place so you have both hands to maneuver things if need be and it just works. I've recommended it to a few people now and will probably continue for the rest of my days.

I have been using the Shark Bite fittings for about 4-5 years and I think they are the best thing since "Sliced Bread" was invented. Unfortunately the strength in my hands and arms has deteriorated significantly due to arthritis and old age to the point I can't remove the fittings using the manufacturers orange plastic tool. I researched this product and once I read the tool ratchets and locks I decided to get it. What a great invention. It solves all the problems of removing fittings with little effort.

The media could not be loaded. I tried this on a 15mm ( 1/2) pipe and found it uselessThe jaws of the tool I was sent had insufficient range of movement even begin to compress ring around the fitting to release it from the pipe as the attached video shows .I think this may bee due to the jaws that grip the pipe possibly being bent by 2-3 mm and not a right angle to the opposite side rendering useless .I'm sure others must at some point had this issue so I query where all the glowing feed back comes from
