SCHLAGEFlexible 3/8" Steel Looped Security Cable

I bought this to secure my expensive ice chest while camping. Turns out I didn't have to use it. But it is a solid product. Seems like the diameter measurement is of the bare cable itself and not the plastic sheath that it's in. So you get a thick cable. Locks and cables deter only honest people. I believe this could be cut with a large cable cutter, but who carries one of those around? Overall, a quality product.

H-E-A-V-Y D-U-T-Y !I selected this cable to attach. My computer to a heavy piece of furniture. My goal is to deter theft, which I’m expecting it does since cutting through multi-strand cable with hand tools is a pain. I could certainly devise a holder for the cable to allow cutting with a hacksaw, but such a tool would be unlikely to be carried by a random robber. Using a big, long cable cutter is deterred due to the flattening of the cable when pinch-cutting.So, theft of my computer is more likely to entail searching for another weak point...

I purchased this to lock my patio chairs to my front porch as people stole my last set...It was long enough to fit all 5 chairs and still tie around the wood poles...So far so good!!! Still have my furniture this year.

It's heavy and well made and the coating keeps it from rattling around in my van too much, but it causes pretty bad ankle abrasions.But seriously, it is a well made cable and the coating is thick. I really don't know what else to say about it.

I use this to protect for my outdoor grill and my patio furniture. Just match it with a lock that is just as secure and you will sleep quietly at night knowing that your belongings are safe! If someone can get through this cable and a lock that is just as secure, then they must need the stuff desperately. But, rest assured, nothing has been taken or messed with, and have neighbors that have had items stolen from their patios. We can't eliminate their temptation, but we can eliminate their attempt from stealing from us!

This is really nice and sturdy for the price, yet not too heavy so works well for cycling. I got the 7' version and that is the right length to be able to reach to the front wheel and back to the lock.

This is exactly what I needed to secure everything in my garage when my kids leave it open and it would not keep a professional thief from cutting it but will work fine!

My original cable lock is a 6Ft twist stranded cable lock from Master Lock, but this is a 7Ft braided strand cable. I plan on using it in conjunction with my cable lock and the new FMJ Security padlock I bought to lock up my new eBike with intergrated 6-spoke dual hub motor (front and back wheel). I plan on threading the cable through the frame and the wheels. Then my old cable from through the frame to the bike rack/post/tree.

Great value. Use it as part of my gym pulley system. No rating but if you pull back the blue cap you can inspect the tie-end; it is well shut together. Have pulled over 150lbs on this with no signs of wear. As all wear and tear items must keep maintenance and inspect it on a regular basis to avoid injury if it begins to wear.

Thieves can get through anything but this security cable is a solid and well protected piece of steel that should make them think about moving on to something less protected.Great value here.

Great bicycle lock cable for any price. Looks really strong and yet not heavy. The loop eyelets are the perfect size to use with a u-lock to secure a bike.

For the sale price, very solid buy. Very versatile and does not roll very much like those bike locks although I use it for bikes, and the bulky portable grey water tank. Will also use it to lock the surge protector to the pedestal.
