The Girl's Guide: Getting the hang of your whole complicated, unpredictable, impossibly amazing life

So, I'm the kind of person that didn't pay attention to certain things growing up. I'm good at outdoorsy stuff but girl stuff seems so difficult. There's things that I've wondered and had no trustworthy way of answering (no thank you google) and maybe they're too embarrassing to ask... but this book was helpful.There were some things I really wanted to know about (money, buying, renting, etc) and some that were TMI in the best possible way (some 'doctor appointments' I'm too scared to schedule because I have no idea what to expect...) I would suggest this to young women 18 to mid twenties who are a little clueless. It helps.

I'm not finished with this book but I'm loving it. I'm not even embarrassed to say I'm past the "girl age". I am 47yo and feeling like I never received the manual on "how to get along better in life". I have other books like this but they are very dry, too PhD point of view. This book is a breath of fresh air, I'm drinking it like Pellegrino on a warm Spring day. I'm just appreciating this book, the way it's written - in layman terms, with a sense of humor but also with hardcore knowledge and wisdom behind it. A real persons guide to helping navigate real daily problems.

I got this book in the mail yesterday. I had originally found it in store, but refused to pay $17 for it. So I purchased it in used condition for $7 on amazon and though the front cover was creased, the pages and overall use is light! I love the book itself, it gives so many good tips and teaches women how to get through their 20s!

Love this book, perfect gift for any young adult girl. I discovered this book on a side table at a spa. It was well loved and once I read some of it i was hooked and bought myself and my sister one.

Bought this as a gift for my 21 year old daughter. I figured for the times when I couldn’t be there or for those, “I need another opinion” questions. My daughter said that it perfectly explained what she feels about running. I bought another copy for my niece for an as of yet not given gift. I think she will get some good information out of it as well.

What a great guide for a young lady venturing off into the world! I ordered for a graduation gift and began browsing thru before I sent off. So many current topics, the real life stuff that parents may not talk about. I wish this book was around when I graduated!

Great book for every young woman out there trying to figure out life. I wish I would have found this book pre college as it has a ton of great advice. It's still applicable to post college life as well though. I will be buying this for every young woman I know graduating high school or college in the future
