Great Field Watch
Even though I have a rather large wrist (8 inches) I prefer the smaller size watches in the 35-40mm range. I find them more comfortable and they fit under shirt sleeves better. Even though I have several high end Swiss watches, for everyday wear I wanted something smaller and with a quartz movement. This Lorus watch is perfect and looks like a military field watch from the sixties. It is actually a sub brand of Seiko so you get a quality made quartz movement that doesn't need much attention at all. After a week of wear I can say it's super comfortable and sits low on my wrist. The face is easy to read with my aging eyes and you really don't even need to read the instructions that came with it. It's really that easy. The watch has kept nearly perfect time. I hack set it to the NIST time server and a week later it is only 14 seconds off. I'll take that! About the only thing I can ding on this watch is the band. It's pretty cheaply made. I replaced the one in the picture with a black 18mm Maratac Military band and it fit perfect and looks great. This watch is highly recommended.

This is good stuff, so far.
Initial glow of the dial is intense. By 8 hour mark, you have to strain a little to determine the position of the hands, so I'll call legibility "almost" 8 hours.100 meter water resist. Day and date. Thin. Very comfy. Nice execution of the dial layout. It delivers above the price range. You don't expect any watch in size to weigh that much, but this seems even lighter than expected. The strap is serviceable. I expect most people will replace it with a NATO or RAF style, and I did.You seem to get more than you pay for with this one.

Great and thin watch
This watch is the perfect size, not too big not too small. I can easily see the time without reading glasses. The face glows in the dark. And the watch is thin so your shirt cuffs easily slide over it. I searched a lot to find a watch thin enough and inexpensive before I found this one. It's too bad it's not still availble.

Just What I Wanted, and a Great Seller to Boot!
I was looking for a watch with classic style and an understated elegance. I also wanted something with a level of quality and ruggedness that it would hold up for years to come, keep time well and still look good. I have only had the watch a short time, but I did my research and am enjoying the watch very much. In comparing the quality of the watch and the price, this Lorus offers a great value.I imagine I will be replacing the band eventually, but the band that comes with the watch will suffice for now.On another note, there was an error in delivery which I do not attribute to the seller, Rubicon Watch Company Ltd. I was notified that it had been delivered but there was no package at our residence. Concerned, I started the process laid out by Amazon that must be followed for a replacement. That first step is contacting the seller. My contact at Rubicon was a pleasure to interact with and had the delivery service start an investigation. The delivery error was rectified and the watch arrived at my doorstep the very next day.I do not usually write reviews, and this review was inspired not only by my satisfaction with the watch, but especially the treatment I received from Rubicon Watch Company. Buy with confidence!

Great hunters watch
I had been looking for a small light weight watch that would be easy to see in low light while sitting in my tree stand. The Lorus Lumibrite Military Watch is perfect for these conditions. It’s been a year since I purchased it and it still glows in the dark like the day I bought it and has not lost a minute of time.If your a deer hunter want to be able to see when legal hunting time is over then this is the watch for you. It is a great watch at a great price.Thank you Lorus!

Lorus makes good watches.
Only complaint on this one is watch band, not the watch itself. If you have big wrists you might need to order a band like I did. I like slimmer watches and this fits the bill.

Wanted to love this watch, but.....
I wanted to love this watch, but was looking for something that I could easily read in the dark, and this watch will not let you do that.. Yes, the dial does glow nicely, but the hands and times are pretty much impossible to see - all you see is a nice glowing circle in the dark.

Light, easily readable as advertised
Received on time, product as expected. I swapped the band [ I actually like the oem band but prefer two piece straps ] from the Lorus Ti to this Lumibrite, just personal preference. May eventually put a Ritchie cloth band on this as I did with another watch.I took it to a watch repair facility and had the battery replaced per their instructions [ because one doesn't know how long the two year battery has been in the watch ]. Takes a Renata 364 which they had and swapped out for me. I watched him, the screw back case was off, battery replaced in less than 2 minutes. I have the tools to take the screw back off myself, but I wanted no surprises so the first sap was with someone I could watch. In a week it's kept very good time. I'm ocd on my watches being accurate enough, this Lumibrite seems to fit that requirement. Lost 2 seconds in the first week [ set to the atomic clock ]. That's a little over 90 seconds a year. The day/date is pretty easy to read during the day, in lower light, impossible which is about average for that feature on watches.I like the size, the weight, the readability of the dial. The lumibrite really glows coming in from outside. I charged the face with a high intensity handheld light at 10 and went to bed. At 2am I could just barely read the time, but that 4 hours is a lot better than many others watches hands I've owned.
