No Recipe Index
I have made two recipes in this book so far and enjoyed them very much. The Veggie Pastalaya was fantastic, I could not get enough. What I would like to see is an updated indexed version that also includes a recipe list either in the Table of Contents or on the first page of each section, with hyperlinks that take you from the list to each recipe.

Little Gem of a Book!
I listened to an interview of Mona Lajuanie, and she made her recipes sound so good, that I had to try them. Boy, am I glad I did! The Veggie Pastalaya recipe was a great hit. I used the same recipe again, but omitted the pasta and added 2 lbs. of shaved brussel sprouts. Unbelievable! The recipes in this little gem will add a new dimension to our WFPB eating. Thank you Chef AJ for including her in your interviews.

Some good, Healthy eating here
Eating healthy does NOT have to be boring and weird. These recipes are straight from Kitchens where Tradition is important, but HEALTHY IMPORTANT is the Key now. New TRADITIONS are established, and grand babies will be fed healthy foods, not the artery clogging stuff of times gone by .... Thanks LaJaunie Family!

Thin Book in Black and White.
We got really excited to see a Vegan version of a cookbook of south Louisiana cuisine. What we received was a very thin cookbook with black and white photographs. It was disappointing to say the least. In all fairness we have not yet tried any of he recipes which I guess is truly the ultimate test of a good cookbook.

A labor of love
You can tell this family wrote this as a labor of love, with a desire to help others improve their diets for better health. The recipes are wonderful yet simple, which is great (and practical!).I had the pleasure of meeting Josh (Dustin's brother) and Mona recently in Houston when they were here for a talk. This family is the real deal. They boldly embraced a plant-based diet against all odds. But it's not just that. They were also so amazingly genuine and warm. They are not about egos or attention or whatever. They are the real deal.I encourage you to read the book, try the recipes, and get to know more about the LaJaunie family. Your are sure to be inspired.

Homestyle, Down Home Recipes
Every recipe emotes the love and caring this family shows in feeding their family, with basic ingredients and uncomplicated steps. Also, each recipe has their own individual Cajun spices included, which is appreciated, since these spices may not be available in every market.Bravo, to the LaJaunie Family.

Thin
25 recipes and a thin 41 pages. Black and White photos. Looks like a self publishing job. Disappointed. I do congratulate this family and their weight loss, plant based journey. The "cookbook" is a disappointment, however.
