E-Yooso 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (White)

I purchased this keyboard for a small desk in my partner's apartment and wanted something compact that would leave space on the desk for a brew. Upon plugging the keyboard into my laptop, I received a notification stating that the USB device was not recognised. I tried connecting the keyboard using multiple USB ports on my main laptop and also attempted to use a different laptop to which the same error occurred.My first assumption was that the keyboard shipped as defective, but I'm not mainly a fan of returning items purchased online, as I want to do my bit in protecting the planet. I realised that the cable could be the issue. The cable presented a problem because it was secured on the back of the keyboard by a couple of plastic guides to prevent it from moving. I had a spare USB A-C cable to hand, but it was a right-angle connector. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit the spare into the keyboard's socket. I wanted to make sure that the cable wasn't the issue though, so I took matters into my own hands by dismantling the keyboard.The keyboard was straightforward to dismantle. There are about ten screws on the front face of the keyboard under the switches. I also really did like that the keyboard came with extra blue mechanical switches, it was a valuable addition should any of the switches break. Once I had the keyboard shell off, there were two circuit boards within the keyboard. One big PCB forms the base for all of the switches and the other PCB that has the USB-C connector attached.I plugged in the existing spare cable I had, and the keyboard started up beautifully. Overjoyed by the experience, I had isolated the issue to the cable. With this in mind, I proceeded to file the existing plastic guides on the underneath of the keyboard so my spare cable would fit. I reassembled the keyboard, and it works great!I have decided to rate five stars on my review despite my experience, as I cannot fault the overall build quality of the keyboard for the issue I have encountered. I just wished that the keyboard would be shipped in future with a bit more of a versatile cable in the future so that other buyers don't experience what I have. The switches are very pleasant to the touch, and overall it feels like a well-built keyboard.

The keyboard is exceptional for value in my opinion. The build quality is far more advanced than what was expected for the cost. The blue switches are as you would expect they are on the loud side but no more than you would expect for blues. The keys can't be heard over my voice in discord according to my friends but this may have more to do with having a quality headset/mic and I can't hear the keys while playing.The 2 issues I have are the RGB is amazing and I can't fault it, it's on par or better than my much more expensive Corsair keyboard but I don't have the ability to have 1 solid colour setting which is a little annoying. These keyboards(Z-88) are mass-produced and sold under many different brand names and some have different firmware that allows different lighting effects just be aware the videos on youtube you seen of this keyboard might have different RGB effects to the one you receive. The other issue is around keys. I have noticed the " and @ are on opposite keys this is a minor inconvenience however despite looking online and looking through the manual I have been unable to get the "hash" symbol to work which is a pain. Overall great for gaming but maybe not for professional use as there is a small issue with missing symbols. This is for gamers who want something that looks cool in a small form factor but if you want a board that is great at everything spend more on a big brand 70% board to be sure of 100% functionality. I would give it a solid 8 out of 10.

My son really likes this keyboard.i have to admit it is quite cool.

Plug and play, these come with Blue keys so be aware blues are notoriously loud keys. Nice smooth press and easy to use, it has an American layout but you can change key caps if that bothers you. My only criticism is that it could do with a wrist rest.

Wanted to get myself a new keyboard and got this one. The keyboard is really good and the lights on it is not distracting. Only downside I can think of is that its quite loud but you would not hear it over headphones. Overall really happy with this.
