First, English is not my first language, so please bear with me and my mistakes. Thank you :)I graduated with my Master's and I borrowed this book from a local library to help me prepare for my job interviews, which mostly include similar type of tests.First, this book seemed fine. But after some time spent doing the exercises, I got really frustrated and sometimes even angry that I had to put it away! :)Exercises are, for the most part, well thought-through. Sometimes, the questions just don't make sense and make you say what the hell?. Some of them are too general or seem a bit unrealistic to be truly included in real tests.This book also contains a lot of mistakes. I got about 3/4 of the way into it and so far I had found about 10-15 legitimate mistakes in the answers. I mean, compared to the number of questions it is not a lot but such type of a book should be completely mistake free; otherwise you just spend a lot of time searching for the right answers online.English grammar section, especially, contains a lot of mistakes where the author tries to make you believe that his explanations are correct. Although English is not my first language, I learned it from an analytical point of view and I would say I know the rules very well.If you look at the technical part, it contains a lot of question where you have to read it twice to understand what's being asked. The conditions (i.e. what is happening to the temperature during the process) are not described in detail enough in the questions for you to be able to answer that 100% correctly.Finally, if you look at the right answers at the back of the book, some of them are just not easily understandable. I thought it was just me but I made other people read it too and they too were confused and did not get it.Overall, this book is good in order for you to just to get a general idea of what psychometric tests are but there are much better and well-organized books than this one. That is my personal opinion.

The foreword of this book is very encouraging and corrected my attitude towards psychometric testing. I was indeed like what the author described: I had some fairly strong opinion on psychometric test. Now I am feeling much better treating the test as an opportunity, a potential advantage of mine, rather than a hurdle.In terms of the contents itself, it would say they are comprehensive. However, for psychometric test candidates, maybe it is still better to use materials that match your specific psychometric test. Much of the content in this book won't be relevant to your own psychometric test.

Well, its one of the best informative and educative book. People shoud try who are preparing for "Direct Entry Graduate Programs".
