Monitor Stand is Sturdy, Swings Both Ways Too
This was a bit of a stretch financially, but I was tired of having 2 monitors hogging up my entire desktop. I punched the buy button and hoped for the best. When I got this, the first thing I noticed was - it is HEAVY! I guess that is to provide some stability when the monitors are hanging on the mounts. It works. After I mounted the monitors, the fun began -- how do I set up my monitors for best function? Most people go with both landscape. Some on the leading edge go with both portrait. Me, I'm just weird, so I did one portrait and one landscape. I just like to go either way whenever the mood suits me.This stand has no problem with same orientation or mixed orientation couplings. The stand is pretty stable, even with my two 22" monitors hanging on the arms. The black blends in well to the shadows. The hardware adjusts pretty well (stiff enough to hold the monitors in place, soft enough to allow me to rotate them around or push them in and out if needed).MY ONLY CONCERN IS THIS: If you want the monitors next to each other (as most people do) one must swing the monitor mounting arms forward until the monitor edges touch. For me, that means that the front of my monitors are FOURTEEN INCHES (14") FROM THE WALL BEHIND MY DESK. That means that 14" of my desk is UNDER the monitors and not very useful anymore. If I push the monitor mounting arms closer to the wall behind my desk (which then allows me access to my desk), the monitors end up with a foot or more of distance between them, so I start looking like a tennis fan with my neck swiveling side to side to go back and forth between monitors. I can't do that all day long.I guess I have kind of gotten used to the big black area on the back half of my desk. I use it to store small things: rubber stamps, tchotchkes, laptop, coin jar. Sometimes things go missing back there, but generally I have learned to get by using only the front half of my desk now.I really do like my two monitors, but I wish there was a better way (without horrendous cost) to have the monitors next to each other, but not sticking out 14" from the back of the stand.

Great piece of equipment
Read all the reviews of many pieces and ultimately thought I'd take a chance with this one as it was the cheapest, by far, of the options I was looking at.I have a relatively smallish desk space and am moving to two Viewsonic 22" widescreen monitors. Getting them off the desk was pretty much a "must have" if I wanted to have any work surface available. The box was packed well and I could tell before even opening it that it was a heavier piece of equipment.Setup is about as easy as it could be and the single page of instructions really isn't even needed. As long as your monitors are VESA (mountable) standard, you should be fine for easy mounting. 4 screws and your monitor is secured. The stand is very sturdy and as another earlier reviewer noted, the base does take up a bit of room in order to create that sturdy environment. As I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and have enough depth on the desk, it isn't a problem ... but plan on about 10"-12" from back to front of the stand. There is a collar that attaches to the main post that you can move up and down in order to find the right heigth off the desk that, when found, you simply tighten the bolt to lock it in. The arms also do swing horizontally very easily for positioning of the monitors independently as well as the ability to rotate. I don't use my monitors in portrait mode myself. At first I didn't think I could adjust the tilt and pitch of the monitors but found that the screws are covered up by caps and if you loosen them, you can adjust the pitch of the monitors as well. Basically stated, you have all the degrees of freedom that you need to position your monitors the way that you like. There is also an included desk mount bolt if you prefer to drill a hold through your desk to secure the stand. One other nice touch is that the stand does have attached cable guides on each arm that come in handy. A couple of velcro straps are something you might want to add if you're a stickler about cable neatness. What this all basically comes down to is that for the price, it's a heckuva bargain ... at least when compared to others that I saw. The most important piece of any review, at least for me, is if the reviewer would purchase it again if they had it to do over again. And I certainly would without even hesitating. Sure the base is a bit bigger in length, but I'd much rather deal with that than have an unstable dual-monitor stand.Save the $100 and purchase this stand.

Works well - with modification
The stand is versatile and allows for a great range of height adjustment which is what we were looking for. It was also an excellent price. The main issue we had was in using it for standard 19" monitors (as opposed to widescreen) because the users wanted the edge of the monitors to be together in the middle, which meant you had to swing the arms forward toward the user. This brought the monitors very close to them on a standard size desk so instead of giving them more desk space, it actually gave them less. To accomodate this, we made a slight modification.I doubt this would be needed for widescreen montitors, but here are the modification instructions in case anyone else is interested. ** This is not a modification provided by the manufacturer, use at your own risk **In its original design, there are two arms attached to a middle pivot piece which slides onto the pole stand. The pivot piece would remains parallel to the user. In this modification, we change the pivot piece to be perpendicular to the user which brings the Vesa mounts closer together.1) Remove one of the arms from the middle pivot piece using the included allen wrench - you need to completely remove the bolt.2) In the end of the arm there is a stopper that prevents the arm from moving past a certain point. Remove this stopper (just pull or pry out with a straight screwdriver), rotate it 180 degrees and reinsert into the end of the arm.3) Reattach the arm using the bolt and allen wrench from step 1.This basically allows one arm to swing backwards while the other swings forward so that you can move the pivot piece completely perpendicular to the user to bring the vesa mounts closer together which moves the monitors so they're not right in the face of the user. For us, this actually seemed to make the stand more stable, especially for those users that had the height adjustment very high. If I have time and anyone is interested, I'll try to add a video for the modification.

Functional, no complaints . .
If you're looking to improve the ergonomics of your desk and to save your neck and posture, you'll need this product or one similar to it.The mount has the capability to individually tilt and rotate your monitors from portrait to vertical. Each arm has dual joints to adjust the spacing between your monitors and the viewing angle of each monitor, and the mount allows you to adjust the height of your monitors from your desk. The mounts utilize the VESA standard of 100mm and 75mm to mount your VESA-compatible flat-screen monitors and have cord bundlers affixed under each arm of the mounts to keep the power cables and video cables in check. It has solid construction and is made well. The only decision is whether you want the big feet of this mount on your desk or whether you want a different mount that clamps to your desk. The mount comes with hardware to install this stand through your desk with the drilling of a hole through your desk and putting a bolt with a giant washer through your desk, but this mount doesn't seem like the best solution for a desk-attached stand when compared to clampable mounts. I have this model because my desk isn't the sturdiest and cannot support the clampable mount (but I still like this one). It's made in China and the instructions could be better written, but it's soo easy to assemble, I didn't have much use for the instructions, other than to identify the appropriate use of the provided nuts and bolts. The required assembly is to connect the weighted base and the two arm beam assembly to the main center beam. It also comes with the screws that mount your monitors to the mount. It takes less than 5 minutes to assemble. For those spending hours behind the desk on the computer, buy it. Your neck and back will appreciate it. I recommend it.

Allows for great ergonomics, especially for bifocal wearers
I actually bought this stand so I could position my 23" HP2310m monitor (300 nits!) the proper distance from my eyes for comfortable viewing - the monitor floats above the top numeric row of my keyboard. Also, I wear bifocals so it's actually more comfortable to have the monitor fairly low (the bottom is 3" above my desk) and tilted slightly upwards. I position the stand far back on my desk so the arm is extended fairly forward. In this configuration I do have to C-clamp the back edge of the stand to my desk (unfortunately I've misplaced the plate to bolt through the desk that eliminates the stand) so it does not fall over.Although I've only been using this with one monitor, I bought the dual mount as it's not much more expensive than a single. It also allows me to add a second monitor if I decide I need one. I've had my first one for almost a year and it continues to be solid. Unlike the first cheaper mount I bought, the Tyke's joints are very solid - there is no slop or flop from the monitor. Adjustments are just the right tightness.I actually use a KVM switch for the monitor so I can use my laptop or on very rare occasions, my old desktop. At night, my eyes are tired and I would otherwise have to crane my neck and looking down my nose at the laptop!I highly recommend this stand and just recently bought a second one. Unfortunately I've found that monitors with 100x100 VESA mounts seem to be more difficult to find. I was hoping to buy another HP like the one I have but I don't see any newer HP monitors with VESA, or 300 nits - sigh.

Great stand for the money
I love this stand! It has saved me so much space over the monitor stand I had before when I just had one monitor. The base is really big but U shaped and flat on top so you can easily put thing on it or over it(I put my keyboard on it when i need to be reading or writing something while on the computer and it keeps the keyboard steady for typing). It was extremely easy to set up and everything you need to put it together but a philips head screwdriver is provided. The directions were relatively easy to follow, really study the pictures and you won't have any issues. One suggestion I will give if you are putting this together and mounting the monitors by yourself, don't attach the pole/monitor arms to the base before you attach the monitors to it. It would be impossible to hold the monitor steady enough on your own to attache it to the mounts on the stand. I laid the monitors screen down on my desk and that made it much easier to attach the monitors. I was easily able to then pick them up and attach the pole to the base by myself. It easily holds my two 23" monitors and is incredibly steady on it's base. I've had to move it around quite a bit so far and had no issues with it being wobbly. It is very well made and looks good. It is infinitely adjustable so you can get the monitors set up just the way you want/need.I couldn't be happier with this purchase, why go with something more expensive when this stand will give you everything you need.

Decent stand, but lacks features
This stand is very well built and heavy duty. It can hold up to two 24" monitors. Unfortunately, if you are mounting monitors less than 24" and you want to bring the inside edges of the monitors together, you have to pull both monitors in and forward (towards the viewer). This ends up taking considerable desk space. The actual mounts on the horizontal arms can not be slid left and right on the arms to bring the monitors together. Rather, both arms must be brought in and forward towards the viewer to bring the monitors together. (Again, this not only brings the monitors too close to you, but it wastes desk space, which goes against that which the stand is trying to accomplish. Additionally, the actual base plate (which sits on the surface of your desk, is VERY large (one foot long) and extends forward on your desk by at least a foot; taking up more desk space. I might note though, that if your desktop has a hole in it for wiring to go through, this stand can be mounted on top of that hole without using the large plate that comes with it. (thus saving room). But, if you don't have a hole in the top of your desk, then you must use the base plate which takes up more space than the stand[s] that come with the monitors do. Personally, I would recommend purchasing a dual stand which allows the user to slide the monitors left and right on the horizontal rails, which in turn alleviates the need to bring the monitors forward in order to bring them together.

Great product for the price
I've been using this stand for a couple of months now with twin Lenovo 21.5" monitors, and am pleased with the stand's performance. Functionality is a little lacking in terms of "fine tuning" exact monitor position; however, it's good enough that I am happy overall. My wife is also using this stand with twin Dell 20.5" monitors, and has noticed the positioning to be slightly more limited. To be fair, the manufacturer does clearly state that smaller monitors will have to be moved closer to the viewer in order to bring the monitors together. Other than that she is also pleased.Pro's:SturdyFlexible positioningAffordableVery good build qualityCon'sFine tuning position is limitedBase is bulky with considerable desktop footprint. To be fair, there is an option to mount just the post in a hole in your desktop, but I have a glass top desk so I am limited to the bulky baseIt seems to me the fine tuning issue could be easily resolved by adding a joint in the middle of the two main arms to allow for greater flexibility.Delivery was prompt and purchase was easy.Overall rating 4 stars (would give 4.5 if possible). I would buy this again, and would recommend it to anyone seeking an affordable dual monitor stand.

Good dual monitor stand not a space saver
Let me start this review by saying that when I purchased this dual monitor stand I was not looking to free up desk space I was merely looking for a two armed stand for a dual monitor setup if you are looking for a space saving stand this is not the stand for you. Thought this stand takes up less space horizontally the footprint from the back of you desk to the front will be substantial I would say more than 1ft and also depending on what type of desk you will be placing this stand on know that without any monitors attached this stand is all ready very heavy and once the monitors are attached it is even more so. I would also like to note that the joints to rotate the monitor angles as well as the joint to move the arms themselves are extremely stiff the one for monitor angle are so stiff you often move the whole stand before the monitor will tilt with some WD40 it may be possible to remedy this. Overall the stand does what is advertised all though it may not be quite what some people are looking for.Pros-Holds two monitors-Easy to assemble-SturdyCons-Joints are extremely stiff-Footprint is rather large-Very Heavy (possible problem for weaker desks)

Very Stur
Very sturdy stand and I have 2 x 22" LED screen attached. ViewSonic VX2250WM-LED 22-Inch (21.5-Inch Vis) Widescreen Full HD 1080p LED Monitor with Integrated Stereo Speakers The base is LARGE, which is needed for a solid installation but I have found I like it. With these mounts, I can raise the screens a lot higher than the standard stand on the monitors. I've got pen holders, tape dispenser, stapler, paper weight and a hots of other desk needs - right in front of me underneath the monitors. Being able to raise the screen gave me back some desk space I could not use as items would be in line of sight with screen on stock stands. It also comes with supplies to mount directly on desk without the base. I might do that later but in no hurry since the base feet are desk top shelves right now - no need.Good stand, good price - don't make an investment in dual monitors unless you go all the way and have a mount that can move the screens around where you want them. This one does the trick ...Product Improvement Note: If they could take the space of the two large base legs and put a power strip on one and USB hub on the other - this would be an ULTIMATE stand (are you listening???)Or even small(10W)right,left speakers with built in sub-woofer. I'm laying a small bookshelf speaker system under and behind my monitors with the additional height I can get out of the screens.

excellent value, one annoying feature
I purchased this stand to regain more desk space from my two HP LP2275W monitors (22" each) and their corresponding individual bases.Pro:Excellent built quality - heavy gauge steel, good power coating, well finished edges and heavy-duty hardware with Allen wrenches included for adjustment.Yes, the base is fairly big but to me that just adds stability and it's still far less bulky than the two stands I replaced.Optional "hole in the desk" mounting if you have that feature available to you - again, all hardware included.A reasonable amount of height adjustment to satisfy most everyone.Con:As mentioned in other reviews, the actual VESA brackets are welded to the ends of the articulating arms and will not slide in or out. For my 22" monitors, that means an inward tilt of about 15 degrees to make the bezels touch and give me the continuous desktop look I like. I would expect that a pair of 24" screens would be able to be in a straight line, but be aware of this if you are picky about how your screens are aligned.Summary:Overall, a great value. I've priced dual stand from $100-300 and except for the angle issue I mentioned, this is the best value around.

Very Sturdy and good stand
Came packed very neatly - i got this for my dual monitor set up. I have a 25 inch and a 23 inch monitor. Though it does not support 25 inch monitor, i made minor support adjustments and now it holds both my monitorsPros:Very sturdy and heavy - you might need help mounting monitorsComes with all required hardware and instructions - easy to set upcan adjust monitor height, horizontal tilt angle and also verticalgreat priceCons:when you loosen the nut to adjust height, you have to be very careful if you already have monitors mounted - else they will just drop due to the weight - there is nothing to stop them. So either set the height first and then mount monitors or use supports when you want to adjust heights - i used books below my monitors and removed/added books one by one to adjust height and then tighten the bolt - wish there could be some kind of stopperOverall very happy with the product and recommend it for monitors that are 24 Inches or less

Great for the price!
This stand is a great deal--similar stands easily go for twice the price at other retailers. The design is fairly straightforward and well thought out. The stand comes with a grommet base mount as well as feet, which makes it fairly versatile. I would likely buy one again. There are a few cons though, but not enough to really warrant more than a one-star deduction. First, I got a little confused as to how big a monitor this thing will actually support. The product description says up to 24", but the box says up to 22". My monitors are only 20", so that didn't matter much to me, but that may be something others should worry about. Also, even though it does include cable management clips, there aren't very many (only one on each arm). One more on each arm and one or two down the vertical pole would be great! All in all, a good stand that saved me a lot of room on my desk.

Good stand for the price
For the price it's a very good and very sturdy free stand for two 24 ASUS VS247 monitors. The stand was easy to assemble and easy to mount the two monitors on. There isn't much of a chance to create a large angle on the monitors but I was able to angle them a bit and it works for me. This is a free standing mount but it also has the pieces to go for a clamp on the edge of a desk but it's sturdy enough to where I don't need it.When the box did arrive, it did say it was for 22 inch monitors on the side of it but it did fit my two 24 inch monitors. Yet, it is a bit of a tight fit and for those with bulkier 24's this could be a problem. It would have been nice for a bit more room to get more of a angle but it's working great and was a good buy.

Great Product, did not work for me
This is a sturdy product, built to last. It is stable even with 2 heavy older LCD monitors mounted on it. However, in order to do that it needs a base which has a bigger footprint then other stands. This is not a design flaw; it is a necessity when supporting heavy monitors. If you don't want a stand with a big base, and need to mount heavy monitors, consider using a stand that mounts to the desk, or for a more permanent solution mount this stand to the desk with the optional hardware provided. The reason this stand did not work for me is because I need the arms to move up or down independently of each other. I am mounting one monitor in portrait view and the other in landscape view. I need to be able to adjust the position of the monitors independently to align them the way I want.Overall it is a great product.
