This is a good entry level book
This book introduces the reader to the authors interpretation of what he feels is a core methodology for following the Jedi Path as a real world way of life. It's a good basic concept that is limited in scope by being limited to the pages of the book not so much limited in scope itself. With time and discussion and application the basic idea's given here can be used by the individual to expand their own understandings of the concepts provided here to grow along the authors view of what the Jedi path is. Indeed the author even gives the would be reader exercises to do at the end of every chapter with room for note taking. That said this book is not a book of Jedi Philosophy for everyday life as the title indicates. This is a book about the Jedi Circle methodology and how to apply that one single concept to your life. While not a bad thing it misses the very thing the title claims it has Philosophy for everyday life. This is more of a training manual to understand and use the Jedi Circle after what should be months of studying it for a new person to the path. While this in and of itself is not a reason to deduct a star the numerous typos and occasional dropped sentences are. I think with a bit of proof reading and an updated release fixing these things I would give that star back. It;s a solid premise that is given into the Jedi Circle created by the author but misses the mark of inter-weaving that concept with the rest of the Jedi Philosophy that exists. It instead seeks to be a stand alone concept.

Be Jedi in the real world
This is a book that guides the reader through the essentials of applied Jedi Philosophy, which is living as a Jedi in the real, modern world without light sabers, robes and psychic powers. Skeptics may read the title and smirk. This would be a mistake. Firstly, do not be fooled by the title or constant reference to Jedi. In the context of the “Jedi Circle” the word “Jedi”, serves two purposes. Primarily it is a verb as being a Jedi is essentially about doing, by demonstrating certain principles, behaviors, attributes and traits in one’s day to day affairs and impersonal relationships. Secondly, Jedi of course are the fictional model of an ideal which the Jedi community aspires to achieve within one’s own personal limitations, boundaries and goals. The key message of the “Jedi Circle” is commitment to personal growth so that by self betterment one can positively affect people and create a better world to live in. This book simply presents the “Jedi Circle” as it has been taught to the online Jedi community for over a decade and provides examples and suggestions on how to integrate each aspect of “Jedi Living” into your own life at the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. All you need is an open mind, willingness and self discipline. Follow the suggested program and seek guidance on the online community “Jedi Living” (http://www.jediliving.com/). Remember this is a philosophy, not a religion; there are no rules, dogma, titles or deities. The spiritual dimensions of being a Jedi are discussed but essentially the object is self exploration and personal growth. The “Jedi Circle” is an easy read, sensible and entertaining and provides a refreshing change from the masses of self improvement books out there that promise miracles, success, fame, friends, wealth and an attractive partner if you follow a set of steps and spend more money. There are no steps here, just a healthy and common sense approach to living and approaching life that anyone can embrace and enjoy if you are willing to give it an honest go.

inspiring read
Enjoyed this little tome. But it is more than that...it gives a template for living life according to a Way. Just as viable as any other Way that predates it. If you have an interest for a overall structure for life, this is not a bad place to start. MTFBWY

EXCELLENT SOURCE OF GUIDANCE
This is a super helpful guide for anyone just getting into walking the Path of a Jedi. Although the "Jedi Circle" has changed a bit since the time this book was written, the guidance & wisdom contained here is nonetheless helpful & thought provoking. Good stuff for any beginner, or anyone looking to get back in touch with their Jedi beginnings. 5/5 Stars!

Excellent read, links the philosophy of the Jedi with classic stoicism, Taoism, Buddhism and a little Schopenhauer thrown in for good measure. Philosophy majors will enjoy this book.
