Cheap lens
I have had this for one year and initially really liked it. However after one year of keeping it in my pocket at work the lens has become scratched resulting in blurry image. I tried to order replacement but not available on Amazon and I was told to contact manufacturer in Germany!

Hear and see better
Like the Heine stuffBe warned, Welch Allen speculum will not fit this like older Heine otoscopes. This product is better than Welch Allen pocket scope

Bright!
Finally, I have a bright otoscope. As a hearing aid dispenser, I inspect many ear canals. I have tried the cheap ones like Dr. Mom otoscopes. By comparison, the Heine fiber optic led otoscope is so much brighter than anything I have used before. Two additional bonuses are: 1. No bulbs to burn out because it is fiber optic 2. It takes regular AA batteries. Other good otoscopes require special expensive batteries. And it fits into my pocket.
