Good purchase, pretty good performance
Reviewing only performance, not mounting experience because I haven't mounted it yet!The 4 lan ports off the bottom are a bonus for temporary hookups. Hosted a 5 person lan party, kicked off a guest wifi network for everyone's phones and plugged 3 of my 5 total computers into the lan ports. We used 400gb of data in 3 days, lots of Twitch streaming and latency intensive gaming (CSGO at a semi-pro level, it was my team that was laning) and this access point killed it. We had zero Internet related issues. The management is annoying that you have to basically run an application instead of it having it's own ip address but that's the ubiquity way for now. I do love the extra features that that process provides though, like if you had multiple devices, it's all 1 web portal. Obviously this is for the ultimate tech savvy person and I think it's perfect.Range: this is anecdotal but seems to me the engenious eap1300 we deploy at work have more range but this product was going in my condo and I didn't want a big saucer on my ceiling. This is quite a bit smaller in size and sleeker. I only have a 1200 sqft condo and it covers my area well. Even into my garage through the concrete wall. But I have mine perfectly centered in my space. If I put it in the far corner and it has to beam through my kitchen and guest bathroom, I get 50 down as opposed to 300. But that is obvious since it has to pass through a mirror and my appliances. I don't think anything else would give much better results. Not a fan that the injector is pretty much proprietary. 48v isn't normal. I didn't really search too hard for a generic one like a tp-link or something so it's possible I just missed it.I think 5 starts is too much but 4 is too little. Probably a 9/10. I imagine that in a large house having 3+ of these would be awesome though.

Wifi and ethernet in 1 compact space
This is a fantastic little piece of tech, especially in a unifi deployment. The ability to have a gigabit switch and ap in one small wall mounted unit is ideal in my living room setup. Hotel rooms is what these are designed for but in my personal setup at home I can't think of a better option. I have the IW-HD setup behind my media console where the ethernet feed is, this allows me to hard wire my tv, ps4 and nvr along with another free port for anything in the future. Wifi connectivity is great, I also use an nano-HD in my second floor ceiling so between the 2 I have complete wifi coverage of my 3600sqft home, even enough signal in my detached garage to connect smart garage door openers! With gigspeed internet I am getting over 500mbps download sitting in my living room. If you have a unifi system in your home, these are a great option for your media center.

My favorite networking device ever
This atypical Access Point is a fantastic way to get both wireless, but also a couple of gigabit ports and even POE passthrough to your location. I used a POE switch to feed this AP with power and internet connectivity in my wife's home office. She could then also hardwire her work PC docking station to the network via the gigabit port and also provide us with great wireless coverage. Just say no to mesh system and repeaters that lack a wired backhaul and get yourself a few of these for the home or office. You won't be sorry and you won't be skipping out on performance.

Wi-Fi extender
Great range, easy to mesh with my system. Installs in a standard deep wall box and blends into the room nicely

Unify access point
Easy install, POE powered, POE out on one port, works great with other unify access points, three additional ports, what’s not to like

Axcess point with 4 gigabit eithernet connection with one of the ports with pasive POE.
Think about this. You're getting a 4 port switch with one port Poe pass threw. And if hooked up to a UPS will remain operational during a power outage and so will anything connected to the PoE port. I have my PoE cameras utilizing the PoE pass threw. And very pleased. Need to plug something in hardwired it can do that too. Without the PoE hence the 4 ports on the bottom of this unit. I gave a Weatherproof rating of 1x because it is not intended for outdoor use. Or where water might get into it. But that's not saying you can't mount it in a weatherproof box if you want to use it in a wet location. But would most likely void the warranty. A typical use case would be a small home-office/workshop having the convenience of wifi and the hard-wire capability for other devices that do not have wifi or taking advantage of the hard-wired ports for a more robust connection. The wifi capabilities are impressive. You might also see it in use in a hotel room. Since it screws in to a single gang J box.

Solid access point
I really like the simplicity of this access point module.4 stars for the following cons:* you must use PoE from a switch, you cannot use an injector (so the documentation says)* the signal seems more directional in nature and some devices closer to it are still connecting to the other AC Pro. I had to use the mapping tool and tune the output signal strength between the two devices to dial it in* seems appropriate to mount low, based on the form factor, but the signal likely works better with it higher on a wall

Great way to add wifi where you have an in wall drop
Great way to add wifi where you have an in wall drop. Also gives you several more physical ports and an additional POE pass through.
