Really nice placemats. Online view does not do justice. Actually has a mat finish, not a shiny cheap look. The colors are beautiful. They are quite comparable to the Pimpernel brand, the exception being not quite as thick, but close. Given the price point for the set of 2 this set was actually more expensive than many of the Pimpernel sets. I feel they should have the same thickness. Still I am really happy with the look & quality & will not hesitate purchase this brand again. Sadly Pimpernell seems to have limited availability & less designs to choose from. I miss Pimpernel’s older designs.

I have never used corkboard placemats before. But, my previous mats ,that were vinyl, were not laying flat and often slid. These placemats are wonderful. They hug our kitchen table and stay in place. The rooster graphic on the top is delightful and not overdone. The colors are beautiful! The mats come clean with just a gentle damp cloth wipe. They are made well. I am debating buying more for my dining room. I recommend these highly!

Works for informal meals. Not as easy to clean as I had hoped.
