Neat & Easy to Use, Counts in Increments of 0.5PSI, but Might be Dead by the Time you Need it
Bought this little tool way back in late 2017, back when I was only riding my bicycle, as it was pretty affordable ($7USD + $5USD import) and could come in handy whenever I want to gauge my bicycle tires. Upon arrival, used it just once to check if it works, all looked fine and dandy, but then I never made use of it again for the next 4 years until today.I had bought a Toyota Highlander Hybrid in early 2019, the battery was still fine back then since I had never used it again, and it's been sitting in the center arm rest of my Highlander until today. My Highlander's infortainment display was showing my tires were out of balance (FL: 38PSI, RL: 38PSI, RR: 36PSI, FR: 36PSI), so, I figured I'd use it to deflate my left tires down to 36PSI to better balance my Highlander...just to find that its battery had died despite no use (possibly due to the heat).Took it apart using a tiny screwdriver set I had (my regular toolbox screwdriver wouldn't fit in the screw hole), just to find its circuit board wires crossing over the CR2032 battery, and it had an additional 4 button batteries. Had I not had a pack of CR2032 coin batteries on hand (same battery my digital scale uses), I'd likely have just dumped it and grabbed the more versatile Amazon Basics digital tire gauge that wasn't available earlier, as them batteries are more expensive than how much I paid for the entire tool. So, I attempted replacing only the CR2032 coin battery (had to use another mini flat screwdriver to eject the old one due to the wires being in the way). Fortunately, that was the only battery that had died, so, it resumed working again.I took and attempted using it to deflate my Highlander's left tires, just to then notice the digital gauge only counts in increments of 0.5PSI 😒 Alas, I still went ahead with it, gently deflating & gauging my tires, until the gauge read exactly 36PSI. Started & double checked my Highlander's infotainment display, and it was now showing to be fairly balanced, so, the gauge is pretty accurate (all except the FL were 36PSI, the FL was showing 37PSI even though the guage said it was 36PSI...but that's most likely due to me sitting in the driver sit when checking the infotainment display 🙂).

Works, but display sensitive to temperature
Bought this a couple weeks ago for one of the cars that didn't have a tire gauge in the tool kit. I tested it when it came and it seemed to work and the reading corresponded with my big tire gauge. I put it on a shelf in the garage and forgot about it because the car it needed to go in wasn't here.Today I used it to test tire pressures in 12 tires, and found out that the gauge is just annoying. When I turn it on I get a lit screen with "8.8.8" that doesn't change for 20-30 seconds, and then finally it seems to cycle up and I can take a reading. I again checked the readings with my big garage gauge and they seemed to correspond, but when I went to the next tire I got that annoying "8.8.8" display when I turned it on again. And that happened again and again.Three stars because it works, minus two stars because it's frustrating.UPDATE 3/7/2015: Within hours after I posted this review I received an e-mail from the manufacturer asking me to contact them with the specifics. I did the next day and they quickly responded. It seems that the LCD screen is sensitive to temperature. The ambient temperature in my garage the day I tested this was in the low 30s, above freezing but not by much. The manufacturer said that the LCD takes longer to, I guess, warm up and that in very cold weather the gauge should be brought indoors for a while to warm up before using. I tried this and it worked, at least for the first 4-5 tires. Then after it was in a very cold garage (about 28 degrees) for about 20 minutes it started to take 10-15 seconds before the LCD would warm up and let me take a reading. The manufacturer sent me a new Tekton as well as a pencil gauge in the event the original gauge was faulty and both arrived yesterday. I tested both this morning (11 degrees outside and 25 degrees in the garage). Both worked fine at first as they were both in the house. I left both of them on the hood of one car and went back after 30 minutes, and both had the delay when turned on before a reading could be taken.CONCLUSION: This gauge works fine, but is temperature sensitive. In cold weather the LCD will stay on "8.8.8" for some time before it warms up from the battery (if that's the correct technical explanation). Once it does, it works great. It takes a fast reading and all readings were spot on or within 1/2 pound of my professional, but big and clunky, tire gauge. For the money, it's a great tool. Just be aware of the cold temperature issue. Upgraded to four stars. Fantastic manufacturer support.

Battery life makes this product disposable - Also, it does not work in cold
I did love the idea of an easy to read gauge with a little light so much I bought one for each vehicle and as gifts. However, very quickly I had problems with batteries, it seems the gauge stops working pretty fast even if the light works. Also, we live in Montana and this gauge will not work when you leave it in the cold car. You can warm it with the defroster on the dash but when you want to check your tires you don't want to wait. Therefore I am changing these out with analog dial type gauges that ALWAYS work and are just as accurate. We have the same issue with both the amazon branded and the tekton gauges so I am reviewing both.

Battery doesn't like the cold
I like to store my tire gauge in my glove box, easy to access when needed. Unfortunately a digital gauge doesn't seem to stand up to the cold weather, battery only lasted a couple of months

Quick and Accurate Readings
The tire gauge works as described and as expected, quick and easy pressure readings. I keep this in my glove box should I ever think one of my tires looks low.I compared the pressure readings to my expensive high quality bicycle pump and they were within 0.5 psi (the increments this gauge reads at, which is my only complaint, and reason I take off 1 star, is that psi goes in increments of 0.5 and not 0.1).I like the 30 seconds power off, one reviewer knocked it - I don't see why you'd ever need it on longer than 30 seconds, great power saving feature and flips back on with the trigger button. Taking a reading and viewing it is all done in about five seconds. The LED is a nice feature, I haven't had to use it at night yet, but it's there if I suspect a low tire on a dark area. The screen is also backlit, checking tire pressure in the dark not going to be a problem with this gauge. If you over inflate your tires, it's easy to half insert the gauge to let off some air, then fully press in the gauge for the current reading. I aim to over inflate by a pound then let off the excess until desired reading is achieved - I find this easiest way to achieve ideal pressure.Proper air pressure in tires is very important - this item is worth the investment in your safety.

Easy way to check tire pressure
I bought this device because I wasn't sure if my tire pressure was high enough. When I took a reading, all 4 of my tires were around 24 PSI (a bit too low). I took my car to the garage where they inflated the tires to approx 32-33 PSI. When I got home, I took readings and they were all in the 32 PSI range. The device is easy to use, press the button to turn on, press up against tire valve, read number. The device turns off automatically. The only down side is that it takes two different kinds of battery (included), making battery replacement a bit more difficult. It is also very light and made entirely out of cheap plastic. Overall, for an inexpensive gauge that lets me know I need to take my car into the garage for a top-up or that one tire is losing pressure faster than the others, I have no complaints. For someone who wants to use it a lot, I'm sure that a more durable device wouldn't be too much more expensive.

Impressed for the price
Easy to use. Hold down the trigger and press into the wheel nub thingy to get a reading. Switching between pressure types can be done by pressing button in the back. Light is a nice feature, in case you're stuck on the side of the road at night and without a flashlight/phone. It's pretty ergonomically designed too. Price is good for what you get.I do not know if its accuracy declines with time or uses. It was accurate within 5 PSI during the first 6 uses over the span of 2 years.I'm happy with the product and recommend it as long as the price does not increase. There are several similar products available.
