Frigidaire 5304477398 Handle Assembly , Black

I asked a question if this handle would fit model ffmv162lba and I was told it would not fit..I did more research and decided to purchase the handle anyway. I'm glad I went with my gut instint. My husband and I have just installed the handle on our microwave and it fits perfectly!! and it took us all of about 10 minutes to do it..Unfortunately to the person that told me that it wouldn't fit my model microwave you were wrong. Thank goodness I did more research and didn't listen. I really love that it's a metal handle instead of the plastic handle that was originally on the microwave.

Fits my Frigidaire FMV157GC like a glove! It's better than the cheap plastic OEM handle. It's definitely aluminum. Besides that, the price here is $30 cheaper than I could find for that crappy plastic handle.

I received and installed this OEM part the same day received. I looked up a "how to" installation video on you tube and it only took me about an hour from start to finish to complete installation. I have a frigidiare ffmv162lma microwave. The plastic handle broke (not surprising given it's over a gas stove). This replacement handle is metal. so much better. I used the instructions from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PKs56FrKRU and http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/microwave-repair/255-microwave-handle.html. we managed to do it. the only issue is we couldn't get the screws to tighten fully. so the handle is a little loose. it's better than having a broken handle or buying a new microwave though.

I had searched all over the Internet for a replacement door handle. The prices where horrendous! They run for about $100. I came across this little gem and thought I have nothing to loose for this price instead of spending $100. It fit perfectly and looks absolutely great. Love that is is not the cheap plastic the original handle was. I highly recommend this item.

Purchased this handle as a replacement for my Frigidaire microwave model # FFMV162LSA. The original handle was plastic but the replacement handle is metal so it should not have to be replaced again. Get product and good price.

This job at first glance can be confusing, although after watching several you tube videos I put it all together with ease. I found that using a butter knife worked best to get into the first piece of plastic starting on the outer edge of the piece and working your way around the whole inside of the door to help release the plastic sort of clips and then I had another obstacle to get around a metal piece that looked like it was screwed on from the front side of the door. After extensive searching through videos I found one that showed how to remove this piece as well. It was the same as the first step just look for the plastic sort of clips and using a small thin flat head screw driver work your way around this piece in a similar fashion as the first piece being careful not to get too rough with it so you don't break off any clips. once you have that one out you have all access needed to remove old pieces of handle and to screw new handle on. When you take the metal piece off be careful with the door as it can fall off real easy. Most folks will remove the door to do this work and if it is easy for you this is the way to go. But, you can do the whole job without removing the door if you choose not to remove it. I know long winded but it may help some to get through this and save a visit from a repair man. Good Luck

Quick Shipment! I ordered it and it came the next day! Thanks to those who left feedback. It helped to know that this would fit my model microwave. Quality metal handle that fit perfectly. Watch out for the screws, they were not in the plastic bag with the handle. I did not realize this until after I secured the handle with the old screws. Not a biggie though. Not that I will need to replace this again! Worked with my Frigidaire FMV157GC.

This handle replaced our broken handle on our Frigidaire CFMV157GC microwave. This replacement is much more solid, was installed easily with the help of the instructions given elsewhere in the reviews, and was half the price of what our local appliance shop was going to charge.
