Almost perfect brolly.
5 stars and "almost perfect"? Well, it is a touch heavier and longer than other(lesser) fold up brollies, it did not fit in the same compartment my old umbrellas did - In saying that, they are all broken. Deserves 5 stars for solid build and construction, looks smart, tested in strong gusty winds in London and Hastings. I love the solid snap it gives when you push the release button, the brolly snaps open with no effort and locks into place ready to do it's job. Easy to fold up, looks good, shouldn't have to buy another umbrella(warranty considered).

Damn good umbrella. Got one for my wife too
Damn good umbrella. Got one for my wife too. Really does not ever get upset in the wind, although you'd better have the strap around your wrist. Not light but is well built and folds down enough to store in my backpack.

Not Great!
The video that accompanied the listing when I first bought this brolly, showed how well it stayed up in a speeding motor boat. I haven’t had much call to use it in that particular scenario. I’d be happy if the canopy ends didn’t pop off the spokes, every time I opened it.It’s not particularly wide either!

Does what it says on the can.
A very heavy duty umbrella. Does exactly as advertised. A little small for a man ideal for women but a little heavy for them I think.Quite expensive compared to other umbrellas advertising the same qualities now. E.A.B...

Tiring handle.
Took delivery just today on a wet and blustery morning.Apart from the clever design this is a very well made article. It's also noticeably heavier than the normal cheap compact brolly you see displayed beside gents belts and ties in a high-street department store. The one single problem is the abominably short handle. As a previous reviewer has already mentioned it really is quite cheaply made. I could live with that if it was only 3 inches longer. As I've already ready mentioned this umbrella is heavier than the ordinary run of telescopic brolly. A longer handle would make it much more comfortable to use.Still it's a fine product and worth the money, but could definitely be improved.Edited July 2013Still own and use this item but part of that is due to stubborness on my part.1. Extended the handle - just by two inches it's a lot more comfortable to use - but really the makers should have tried using this brolly.2. Glued all the plastic tips to the metal spar ends. After a year or so several would pop out every time the brolly was opened.Replaced the light thread loops inside the canopy with heavy dacron fishing line. They started to fray at about the same time the tips started popping off the spars.More recently -Replaced several of the hollow rivets with solid brass pins.New velcro pieces on the roll-up straps. My initial impression was that this was a well made article but over time the details let it down. Still not bad after 4 years of Northen Irish weather.EditedIn 2017 it's still hanging together. Which seems like something of a record. It's been sewn pinned glued, and it doesn't owe me any money. I'm not sure how a canopy is measured but as I was asked recently I make it just shy of 36 inches in diameter about 92cms.

Awesome!
This is by far THE best umbrella I have ever owned. It really is ok to use in windy wet weather and I am very impressed. Teensy design modification.......Gustbuster just need to make it open and close the other way so you don't get wet opening and closing it whilst you are getting in and out of a car then it will be PERFECT. (i.e so outside becomes inside when closed.)

Best Gustbuster in Town
Only draw back is it does not fit in my bag + it is a bit heavy. But, to be honest I only bought it to fit under my Grandson's pram so that when we are out our long walks - I am ready for any rain + wind that decides to fall upon us, and I feel more than ready for it with my Gustbuster Brolly. So thanks, yep it is a little expensive but worth it to know I will be dry and protected from the rain and wind any day. Janet

Solide
Oui on passe notre vie à acheter un nouveau parapluie de 10€ chaque hiver ou on dépense un peu plus pour de la qualité. À 41,5 cm quand il est plié il est plus longue que la moyenne,

Durable
I always liked this umbrella. It's looks good, is durable and works great. The only downside is the price but the umbrella is still worth it.
